Publisher's summary

Jenny has been painting fairies her whole life, but now a new fairy has emerged, one with wings of pure silver. She wishes she could share this new fairy with Jamie, but Jamie has disappeared, making Jenny worried.

Sandy is also worried. Her weather magic is out of control, and she is taunted by a storm that whispers its name to her–Jhara.

Deep inside the bottle, the spirit of Jhara waits. She hates this form and detests her creator who has trapped her in there. It was not fair. You cannot create a storm and then trap it in a teacup. That worked only in idioms. And this was Jhara’s life.

The P.A.W.S. Saga continues with Jhara.

An enjoyable, unique read/listen

Jhara (The P.A.W.S. Saga Book 6), my sixth read from author Debbie Manber Kupfer. A well-written enjoyable 457 page/13-hour 16-minute read, the second longest of the series. Christopher Patricia Hunninghake’s narration adds to this unique book's enjoyment. I bought the Kindle edition back in July of 2020 and with Covid and all the associated distractions, I lost track of it until I acquired the Audible version. I look forward to the 4 Tales from P.A.W.S. as well as the next books in this entertaining series after having read these 6 books. "I received a free Audible copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Love it

Perfect as always. I get lost in every book the author writes. It’s like I’m in a different world which is my goal.

The narrator does a fantastic job with each character and I am to differentiate each one as she narrates.

Another Excellent Story

I have been listening to this Series mostly as the Audible books become available. This time I was behind on getting this one. Did not matter as soon as itstarted it was like no time had pasted.
Narrator does a Great job with the various characters voices and the entire storyline.

Jamie is Found and Sandy in Trouble

Jhara book 6 is one of the longer books, 457 pages, in Debbie Manber Kupfer's P.A.W.S. series. I received an audio copy of the book and enjoyed the relaxing narration by Patti Hunninghake. She does a very good job and has a nice flow to her narration.

It had been a while since I read any of the P.A.W.S. series and once I began to read I remembered how much I had enjoyed the characters and Ms. Manber Kupfer's writing. I was excited right away when the narrator brought up the subject of weather mages but a little bit disappointed that Sandy and her weather magic wasn't brought up util later in the story. Argentia, the silver fairy is front and center at the beginning of the story and her ability to prophesize about Jenny and a few others at P.A.W.S. Jamie has been missing and had been with Frederick and the werewolf pack but he's finally able to makes his way back to P.A.W.S. The werewolves, Frederick, Ruvin are the main focus the first third of the book and then goes on to bring in the weather mages by chapter 36. This may not be an exciting review but I hate spoilers and this story is so good I don't want to spoil it.

If you haven't started the series anyone interested in fantasy and ever wanting to go to a magic school will love the books. Personally I'd love to choose my own animal form and shift into it at will. The series is geared more toward teens and young adults and this is a story the whole family can enjoy.

I was given a free audio copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

Great addition to the series!

The sixth book of the series could be read as standalone as several subplots are resolved, but there is a lot going on and a large cast of characters, so I recommend reading the books in order to keep track of everyone and their backstories/relationships.

New plotlines are introduced, as well as some unresolved ones carrying on through the series. Unusual shifters, interesting world building, along with plenty of action and multiple POVs keep the story flowing. I like the original weather magic, and I don't blame Jhara at all for being vengeful. Frederick and Andrew, on the other hand, have no excuse! And Ryan...yikes. He gives me the heebie jeebies.

Patricia Hunninghake narrated the story, and did a great job with giving unique voices to so many characters.
