He believed she’d come running back—now he’s running after her.

“You love me unconditionally, but I want a divorce. I need to marry someone else.”

When Lorenzo Moretti said those words, he watched the light die in Krystal Vale’s eyes.

For two years, she had been the perfect wife—sweet, obedient, calling him ‘baby,’ delivering his meals three times a day, rain or shine. A woman with no family, no friends, no complaints. Just devotion to a man who never once looked back.

“I’ll give you anything in return. A hundred million,” he offered.

“I don’t want it. Let’s get a divorce,” she replied, and vanished before he even got home.

He thought she would return once she grew tired.

She never did.

Somehow, tracking down his orphaned housewife with no ties has become impossible for the richest billionaire in the country—and it’s driving him mad!

Krystal couldn’t be happier leaving that ‘Human Cactus’ behind. Who even wants to stay married to him?

Now, she asks for a divorce every single day, and for some reason, he’s the one losing his mind.

Isn’t he the one who asked for this?

I do like how the characters evolve and solve their problems. I actually read this one on my kindle as well as listened to it.

AI is awful

The use of virtual voice is a complete disservice to the characters and story. The complexity of the characters personality was lost.

No More Virtual Voice PLEASE!

Surprisingly liked this book a lot. The AI voice is okay not the worst would be nice with human voices but not a deal breaker. The story was good! I liked both of there strong personalities.

Surprisingly Good

So many lies, so many secrets!!!!!! They both seemed to be hellbent on hurting each.

The story from the author might have been entertaining but it was totally lost by the way the virtual voice read it. Inflection was wrong in many, many places. I was irritated every time I tried to listen. I made it all the way to the end to be sure I gave it a chance and finished the book. I confirmed the narration was flawed throughout and occasionally repeated lines. For me, I will be screening all future narrations to avoid Virtual Voice.

Virtual Voice ruined it

This feels like it was written by chatGPT. Makes absolutely no sense. I’m a person that cannot DNF a book because I need to know what happens. I just couldn’t find it in me to get through this.

Just No!

the ai narration is impersonal and dull, obviously not done by a person. the story is unlikely in a way that pulls you out of the story and feels worse since the narration reading a spicy scene is terrible. you seriously don't want to listen to a robot try to moan. most of the book is a miscommunication trope and the dialogue makes you roll your eyes. don't waste your time.

ai narration ruins everything.

It was so repetitive, Lorenzo going to held then her leaving, over and over. The AI used inappropriate inflections, particularly when saying Lorenzo’s lines.

Not very good

Barely got thru the first few chapters and then had to stop. This was my first experience with virtual voice and it’s awful.

Can’t even say; the virtual voice was distracting and ruined it for me.
