I am listening to this book to help improve my Italian. As a classic, the story in generally well known - at least in English speaking countries - so I won't comment on that more than to say it's a good story for that era.

I found the naration good on the whole although the second part sounds like it was recorded in someone's kitchen: you can even hear sirens from emergency vehicles in the back ground occassionally. This also gives a sometimes echo -y sound. Apart from that the narrator herself has a pleasant, clear voice.

It is written in a very foraml Italian therefore the second person plural is used for all 'you' forms.

I definately enjoy listening to this story and it does help improve listening skills and vocabulary.
