Revengemies to Lovers

Jackson is a sexy rich boy with revenge on the brain and Vanessa has no idea who she is dealing with. This book brings so much plot, so much depth of character that this world of money and corruption feels so real.

This is dark and get only gets darker before the end. There are so many twists and turns you aren't sure hen you're safe or who you are safe with. The heat level is a solid 4. There is some very heavy material that is dealt with in this story. most of it is in memory or retelling of a past event. Some of these stories could be triggering.

Sarah and Jay are amazing. Jay sounded like a young hot rich guy that knew he had the world in the palm of his hand. And I've never heard Sarah not absolutely crush a role.

Loved the Jackson’s story but hated the male narrator.

Overall I loved this book. But ......The male narrator was horrible for this book. He sounded like a little boy and when he did Sawyer’s “voice” it made me cringe. I picture Jackson having a deeper intoxicating voice (Sebastian York, Troy Duran, and Jeremy York) not poindexter-ish.

Such a heart breaking story

I loved this story but the male narrator was really hard to listen to, the female was fantastic wish they would have just went with her.

I have to admit it took me a while to remember all the characters since it’s been a minute since I listened to the previous books. As with other books by this author it’s full of twists and want to toss your kindle moments. Jackson is out for revenge and Nessa is his way to achieve that. He doesn’t care if he hurts her or so he tells himself that. If you like books that are full of angst and where the road is bumpy then you’ll enjoy this book and the whole series.

Narration was perfect! It was easy to get pulled into the story. Every character had their own voice.

Whoa!

It's taking me time to figure out how to write my review for this book. The world Siobhan Davis has created is so dark, evil, and frightening. The evil made me want to be sick. Trigger Warning: Rape by step-father and his friends as well as sexual assault by her biological father. I cried, no sobbed, wondering HOW this could be written. Knowing that people have had to truly live this kind of depravity breaks me. I continued reading because there had to be a HEA. In real life, not so much. This was the first book for me to read/listen to by Siobhan Davis. I will definitely go back to book one to read more, as well as any other series tied to this world. I want to read more overcoming of evil. It will be great to get some of the other characters back stories. This book pulled me in. It was a great standalone, so I'm certain it's excellent as part of the series!

It was narrated by Sarah Puckett & JS Arquin. Sarah Puckett is a favorite narrator of mine. I love her voice so much. It's warm and smooth. She's an excellent performer. This is the first time I've heard JS Arquin. He has a great voice. He did a good job for most of his parts. I just couldn't stand how he voiced Hunt's voice. It didn't flow well at all. I think Arquin was attempting to make him more meek like? It just didn't work. Unfortunately Hunt was a pretty major character in this book. That's where a star is lost for this book.

Good story

I loved the Rydeville Elite series so I enjoyed getting to hear Jackson's story and hearing about others from the series while it is a standalone I think it would be enjoyed more if you start with book 1 of the series as the story does tie into each other and gives you a better idea about what's going on in the world they live in. The female narrator did an amazing job I did not care for the male narrator at all

Edge of your seat angst

I love this whole series but listening to it just amplifies the experience with all the feels.

Jackson and Nessa are from the same world with different horrific experiences that glue them together in a way that tears you apart. The abuse, the torture that these characters have experienced is just traumatic and hearing them given life through the narrators is the perfect icing on the cake.

I highly recommend this story but you really need to read it it from the Ryderville series from the very start so you can understand how these characters affect one another or you won’t get the true experience of this angst filled story

A deliciously dark listen

A deliciously dark read that held me hostage, I was consumed. Jackson is explosive and complex. You will love him, then hate, then love him. I was totally captivated by him. Vanessa is a strong female lead that I loved. When she falls down she doesn't stay down. She gets up, dust herself off and moves forward. Jackson and Vanessa are good for each other. Their chemistry was sizzling. Sarah Puckett was excellent, Jay Alder is new to me and was good, however there were moments when his voice sounded forced. Other than that I enjoyed the narration.

Perfection!

Siobhan has never once let me down and this book was no exception!

I had been dying to get Jackson’s story ever since I realized how much pain he carried around in previous books and I’m so glad this book did him justice. He deserved to find a girl so perfect for him and Vanessa doesn’t disappoint. She may have a rocky past of her own but, like Jackson, she’s determined to keep moving forward.

Jackson and Vanessa’s up and downs are like a rollercoaster that takes you on the best ride. You can feel their chemistry from beginning to end, no matter how much they try to hide it.

As always, there are appearances from our other Rydeville favorites. I loved that they were more than a blip in the story and actually became an integral part of it.

Please heed the trigger warning as those couple spots can get detailed and may be hard for some readers.

A Great Listen

Jackson is a standalone, dark romance in the Rydeville Elite Series by Siobhan Davis. I was so excited to start this book as I am a huge dark romance lover. It did not disappoint at all and was amazingly good. You might want to get ready because you're going to fall head over heels in love with Jackson. This is his and Vanessa's story and what a story it is. I don't want to tell you Mich about the story as I'm afraid I will give something away. Jackson i s out for revenge for his sisyer. The man who took her away. But when he's not there HR decides to take the woman the he's abandoned. Vanessa thinks he is going to be her savior but Jackson is no such thing. These two have amazing chemistry that is brought to live by the narratorrs. Sarah Puckett and Jay Older have done such an amazing job. I loved listening to them which hasn't always been the case with audio books. But these two shine. This is one audio book you do not want to miss. A story you're going to love. This was the first book I've heard/read from Siobhan Davis but it will not be my last.
