listen to this book over and over. the information here is good for contractors across the board. it's a straight gem.

Good content, bad recording

Overall, as a new business owner, I found this very useful. However, it sounds like it was recorded in an empty room. That's unfortunate, because it really is a good book.

This book cuts out the fluff and gives the advice I've been looking for in a business book.

Great content, better delivery

I am landscape business owner that has had his ups and downs in the business. This book has given me some insight on several topics I have asked for help with in the past but never received. Now I can stop what I'm doing wrong and really move the company forward in the way I intended, for profit and the freedom I damn well deserve.

Good for professional service companies

This book is straight and to the point. No fluff. I definitely had a handful of action items to attend to after reading. It’s a good book for anyone that is within the first 3 years of operating their business. 95% of the “story” follows the writer’s landscaping and construction company. So if you are in a different business, it is still useful but you will need to convert the stories into your business scenario. Read it as if you are getting mentored by someone in a different industry. Overall it was worth reading. If you don’t have a professional services component of your business (manufacturing, restaurants, entertainment, etc) you may not find it as useful.
