Powerful!

This is my 4th time listening to this book. It’s so incredibly real for me, it speaks to me! Ironically, the family make up was very similar to my very own. I have one sister with a wonderful husband & they have one daughter, I have one brother with a very similar relationship situation and unfortunately I would represent Gina...the bread winner, a leader at work & all the while facing physical abuse that was hidden for a very long time. The author did such a great job with developing the characters & the entire story line was so real! This book really speaks to me! The narrator did a phenomenal job as well!

Yes! ❤️

I’m a picky reader and it took me so long to find a book I could actually become interested in and listen to/read in full. Such a touching story about love and faith and relationships. Would definitely read again.

Love it!

What made the experience of listening to It's a Thin Line the most enjoyable?

The way I could completely understand each character. I love when it takes a little while to figure them out what makes each character tick. But then I don't like to have to wait too long to figure it out. Once it was explained what was going on in the mind set of each of the main characters. I really felt like. I knew each one.

What was one of the most memorable moments of It's a Thin Line?

When the Mother found out about her Brain Tumor issue. I just lost my mother to pancreatic and lung caner. We found out what she had due to her getting a brain tumor. The recovery and the things her mother went thru, made me remember everything i went thru with my mom. It was like i re-lived the moment. It just shows that most things that you read. Come from True knowledge. In this instance. If you were to tell me, she made the whole way her mom's life played out. I wouldnt believe that she hadn't experienced or knew someone that experienced this.

Have you listened to any of Susan Spain’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I think that I have listend to other books that are narrated by her. She did very well. I would listen to her on other books again.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I WANTED to.. But I have trained myself to only listen during WORK hours. This way i am keeping my mind off the drama and issues in the every day Cubicle life.

Any additional comments?

I love and have read almost everything and now listen to That Kimberla Authors. BRAVO!

Awesome

awesome book. I read this book a long time ago and it is still good. However, I am a reader and think all books are better when you read them yourself.

outstanding

the characters were well developed and memorable. the story would have been ok without the family secret, there are not a lot of details related to the issue.

Don’t waste your time

First, this book was so painful to read that I decided to try to listen it to it. Listening was no better. This audio book doesn’t consistently say which chapter your on and the chapters do not coincide with the chapters listed. The listed chapters go up to 14, this a 32 chapter book plus epilogue. I clicked on chapter 10 and it played something like chapter 18!

This book could have been over in 15 chapters. Too wordy and redundant. Unnecessary details. Story did not progress for the first 25 chapters. When it did progress it was very boring. I wanted to connect with the characters but not one had any depth.
So disappointed.
