It has potential...

It's ironic that a book based around a female book publisher, who tells her husband that his manuscript needs work because the story needs to be rounded out, has that exact problem. It's told in jerky fashion, bouncing around time periods without explanation. And then it has a worse ending than the first "Hobbit" movie. At least they had the excuse that it was a trilogy, so the story wasn't actually over. This was just... lazy.

Not what I expected

The narrator was great... but the story was not what I expected. I think the main point was interesting, and the story telling was entertaining, but the characters were not really likeable and some of it was far fetched... I also think there were a few holes that were a bit confusing.

Intelligent and insightful

Her voice had me from the beginning and the content kept me entertained until the end. Such a smart and insightful book! Will add this author and reader to my list!

Arrogance and innocence collide

We all have read or heard a story of a marriage that ends, one spouse grows as a matured companion, friend and lover whereas the other spouse has a flawed character and doesn't grown. That said I enjoyed this book because of how descriptive the ride of the roller-coaster of emotions going through a divorce: surprise, betray, grief, loss and regrowth during a divorce. There are so many one-liners that were to the point about those emotions that I have book marked many sections to reflect and share with others. That is the point of a book, not just entertainment but to make you think and reflect and if you listen you will hear those poignant moments that are filled with wisdom

I Want My Money Back.... It was free

It's bad when I find myself wanting to fast forward through chapters hoping something interesting happens. The first few chapters were promising and grasped you the rest of the book loses very fast just bleh

Food for thought

Intriguing story with an unexpected ending. I loved the narration. I recommend this book.

Not what I expected…

The beginning of the book was ok, the middle was somewhat boring, but the end made me rethink some things that have happened in my life. Not a book for those thinking it’s actually going to be about how she tried to kill her husband.

Boring

This was one of the most boring books. You keep waiting for something to happen. It never does. This is the first book I have read by this author.

don't read if you've lost someone to an affair

I was so mad reading this book during the second half, I can't believe how the main character responded to all that was going on. The ending felt unresolved and weak.
