Wonderful historical fiction

The narrator was excellent from the timbre of her voice to her accent. Not once did she make me cringe as most narrators do. She was absolutely perfect for this tale.
The story was interesting and well researched. It’s always fascinating to peek into a time long ago and inspiring to learn of people’s strength and spirit in the face of overwhelming odds.

What a great story

I loved this story. I loved the character. I did think the beginning dragged on more than needed and her time in wilderness could’ve been expanded on. But the story overall was amazing

Captivating writing! I love historical fiction like this. Especially when it introduces a lesser known character and events that aren’t generally taught in school or often written about.

Determination and Grit in the 1500’s
