Beautiful and Layered

Isa’s Daughter is a moving story about resilience and fighting for what you want, even when life feels overwhelming. It's about how traditions, expectations, and social pressures shape people. The characters felt real and relatable, and their struggles made the story all the more engaging. The Scottish setting was beautifully described, and the narration brought it to life perfectly.

Brilliant narration!

The narrator’s style and voicing given to each character brought another layer of depth to this well-written story. I was so enthralled listening that I ended up running further than planned because I wanted to hear what would happen next.

I will listen to more books by this author and narrator team!

A must series

This is a very well written story of family hardships, joys, legacy through the generations in Scotland & N. America.
I thoroughly enjoyed the time spent listening to this lovely novel.

Enduring Tale of Strength and Resilience Wonderfully Narrated

I loved Annie's journey and struggles yet ultimately still finds her place in 20th Century Scotland. The narration so perfectly captured the essence of Scotland with both its working class and high society. I couldn't stop listening to Isa's Daughter!

Great listen

Isa’s Daughter starts back at Ramsey Island. Annie(Isa’s daughter) is determined to better herself and goes to nursing school. Annie falls for her teacher, Alexander and loves him over the years even when he tells her he can’t be with her and marrying someone else. This is another great listen by Catherine Byrne.
