Publisher's Summary

From Book 1:

Straight is the last word to describe me. But the club can’t know.

And I’m not about to jump out of that closet. Cleaning up the motorcycle club’s act is dirty business, and Slim is the one person I trust. I can’t keep away, not when he’s the only man I’ve ever loved. The club can’t know that things are changing between us, but Slim doesn’t want to keep secrets for long.

As betrayal hits the Iron Hunters from every corner, I know I’m going to have to find a way to balance leadership and love…or I’m going to lose them both. But when my past comes back to bite me, it may already be too late.

For Anyone who loves MC Romance ❤

Iron Hunters (audiobook)
MMy Thoughts and Confessions

It had been quite some time since I had read a contemporary MC (motorcycle club) romance and I must confess I began this one with a little trepidation after the last few left me wanting.

Both the authors and the narrator were new to me and that excited me. The fact that this was a series made this a no-brainer for me. I need to add here, this is not a stand-alone series, but a serial bout two main characters, Ward and Slim, the Pres. and VP of the Motorcycle Club, Iron Hunters.

The three-book series begins after the death of the Club’s current Prez, Ward’s father. The story takes place in the hills of Tennessee and just as the winding roads of those hills there are twists turns, lots of action, secrets, some violence, forbidden romance, hurt/ comfort, and very smokin hawt scenes between tough as nails bikers. Iron Hunters is fully engaging and highly entertaining.

Great bundle!

I enjoyed a lot every book separately as ebooks, so getting all 3 together was a treat, specially for people like me that loved to read and reread favorite stories. In this case as every book needed to be read in sequence hearing one after another helped to round up the plot and the love story and made everything so much better. Now regarding the performance, is the first book I have ever heard narrated by Mr Umstott and it was amazing. His performance was fluid, energetic and smooth, and his voice acting was captivating. A great narration.

Romance and suspense!

These three books have a continuous storyline so listening to them as one audiobook works really well. The story follows Ward, new president of an MC club, and his VP, and long term friend, Slim. As the new president, Ward decides it’s time to make some changes to the club - he wants the club to go straight and move away from their illegal activities. As the turmoil of these changes sets in, and the club faces threats from outside, Ward and Slim have to work even more closely together than ever. This heats up the simmering chemistry between the two and lines start to get very blurred. There are twists and shock revelations and the books really take you on a great ride. Wade and Slim are both really likeable characters and it was great to see them get their HEA.

Eric Umstott is a new narrator to me and I though he did a great job of giving all the characters different and easily identifiable voices and bringing the book to life.

great

this is supposed to raise all in one place. the narration is perfectly done. You can tell the different characters throughout the book. I'm very glad because it's a bundle because otherwise there would have been a couple little cliff hangers going on. Cuz I getting the full book all at once it's perfect

On the lighter side of MC books

I feel like calling this Books 1-3 is a little misleading. Really, this is a single book that follows the same characters and same storyline/plot that was broken into 3 parts with parts 1 & 2 ending on cliffhangers. Ride With Me, Together We Ride, & Forever We Ride were later packaged into this box set: Iron Hunters. As the complete set it’s a good deal.

This will be best enjoyed by folks who are looking for motorcycle club themed romance that’s a little lighter than typical. Which is exactly what I was looking for when I requested it. The whole central thriller/suspense aspect of the story revolves around Ward & Slim trying to make the Iron Hunters MC’s focus be legit business and income. There is an overall respect of women and without any dubcon or noncon situations (which isn’t always the case in darker MC books). That said, this isn’t without language, violence, illegal activities, or murder. Additionally, one of the legit businesses is porn though they make a point to describe how it will be as safe an operation as possible.

There is a lot of world building and the introduction of a lot of people packed into the first part that bogged the pace down a bit. As the story goes on there are also occasionally some inane conversations that don’t really move the plot forward. Outside of that, I enjoyed a unique take on Ward & Slim coming out (personally and as a couple) in what is generally considered a straight, traditionally homophobic environment. The fact that it wasn’t all sunshine and roses lent a credibility to it as well.

In addition to their personal struggles – they face several sets of enemies, blackmail, and betrayal from within the club. This makes for a nice mystery/suspense storyline in addition to the romance.

Narration:
This was my first time listening to Eric Umstott and it won’t be my last. He did a good job with giving a huge cast of male characters unique voices. I especially liked the way that he spoke in a different voice depending on whether it was Ward or Slims POV. This really helped differentiate the two characters.

MC Romance/suspence

Iron Hunters is a 3 book series and follows an MC. The story is original and the book is well written. There is a good mix of secondary characters. The narrator for the audiobook is really good and you can feel the difference in the personalities of the characters. Overall a very enjoyable listen.

Hold on Tight for an Action-Packed Ride

This three-book series is a continuous storyline with the first two books ending on cliffhangers, so this audio bundle is the way to go. It follows new Iron Hunters Motorcycle Club President Ward and his best friend and VP Slim as they face threats from a rival MC and being secretly in love with each other. As the threats heat up, so does their relationship as the two emotionally wrestle with keeping things under wraps and an unknown future. It's an angsty, action-packed ride with big secrets and revelations that's as much about the club - its history and future - as the two main characters, and it's worth the lengthy listen.

This was my first time hearing narrator Eric Umstott and I was impressed. He gave a terrific performance, with emotion and varied voices, and I especially liked his gruff grizzly voice for Ward. I also enjoyed the realistic sound of hearing someone talking on the phone. I received this free review copy audio book by request and have left this honest review voluntarily.

Iron Hunters

Thank you for the ARC audio,I voluntarily give this book an honest review of Bundle: Ward is the new president of the club's chapter, with his best friend as the V.P. Slim will do anything for Ward. As the motorcycle crew try to cut ties to the black market and go straight things become messy in more lines become blurred. With one member beaten and another died trying to go legitimate maybe harder then they think. Fed's on on their back buckle up because narrator Eric Umstott is about to take you on the thrilling ride of Iron Hunters MC. Where love is a dangerous business.

Entertaining Story w/perfect Choice for Narration

This series kept my attention from start to finish, not only because of the action portion, but because of the relatability of the characters, which sounds weird since they are bikers with a criminal history. There’s more to them than that, though. Ward’s dad past away (off page, before start of book, and Ward is looking to switch from s life of crime to a legit business, but there are those who don’t want it to happen. That isn’t the only storyline at play in this trilogy. Both main characters have secretly been in love with each other, but, after an act of violence, they are forced to admit their feelings. Being gay in a motorcycle club is not widely accepted, so we see them struggle with that as well. This series will keep you on your toes, and I highly recommend it. Eric Umstott does a phenomenal job capturing the essence of these men, as well as the other characters. I enjoyed listening to him bring this story to life.

A good bundled listen. I am glad it was a bundle because you get left hanging a bit between books (not too bad but...) An action packed, not overly gritty MC trilogy. The narration was pretty good overall.

These authors

These authors together have come up with a compelling, intriguing and unput-downable book. The start was a touch slow but it steadily builds until I felt desperate to see how the author would resolve the issues that made up the story. This was definitely a series that I could listen to again and I will be very happy to listen to anything else by these authors

Good story

Wade and Slim have been friends since childhood and they’ve always loved each other. However as president and Vice President of Iron Hunters MC they couldn’t come out as their love was classed as taboo by other members. When things start to go wrong for Wade and he’s framed by his late father and the FBI arrest him they admit their love for each other. I haven’t listened to a MM themed book before but I really enjoyed listening to this series .

A riveting listen.

In the beginning, I found the story to be a bit slow. However, that really is not the case. This story is one that has a continuous build that keeps the reader engaged. I could not stop listening. Umstott's performance is just gripping bringing these characters to life. It is truly a book that grows and lingers after the final words are spoken,

Excellent I want more of Eric Umstott

Audiobook Review by Mel
Narrator Eric Umstott revved it up and spun circles and burned rubber without losing any traction. He delivered a must-hear three-book series that started out as a burnout against the curb while building up strength and velocity. By book three he released that throttle and flew like a bat out of hell. Listeners will be left drunk with the raw male romance, biker politics, and drama.

Eric gave each character their own unique voice, and it was easy to differentiate between them. The winning quality of his overall narration was his natural deep gruff baritone, which fits this biker-trope like a glove. My comfortable and best listening speed was 1.3, which was still easy to follow, and raised goosebumps where necessary.

I do recommend the series as a whole, it was a good idea to release it at such.

Happy Listening
