Publisher's summary

The battle for Earth begins with a secret invasion....

They came from the brightest star in the southern constellation of Carina. First they studied us. Now they're among us, threatening human existence as they search for the Starcore, the greatest device of the lost Polarions.

Logan is captured in the Nevada desert but escapes in Greenland. There he finds an extraterrestrial stealth ship, giving him the means to take the battle to the enemy.

He will fight the aliens underground. He will fight them in the sky, and he will fight them in space. He will never surrender.

Logan becomes a one-man wrecking crew while using alien technology better than any being alive.

WISHING WASN'T GOING TO HELP ME NOW

BACK SEAT ALIEN
B. V. Larson and Vaughn Heppner are not the same guy, but they are interchangeable. If you like one, you will like the other. Even though they are different guys, they did go to different schools together. This hits the ground crashing and the action is non stop. Character development and plot are totally missing. I like Heppner's invasion of America series, but I could only take three hours of this. Heppner does not have a talking beer can, but he does have a talking crystal, with a British accent. Both are good at hacking into the bad guys communications. You know what you like, I hope I have given you enough to make a decision, aren't I helpful?

Great book

Finally a real sci fi original story. Seems like all we get today are war stories rewritten as space
Opera's. most are continued and don't have real endings that make you think. Nice to read an exception. Where are our new sci fi writers? Many of the great names have passed and I don't see them being replaced. Don't let this one go by without reading.

A Fun story!

Done in the old gum shoe detective style, this is a lot of fun. There are a lot of technology gadgets. You like the characters. There's more than enough action. I hope the author can find a way to make a sequel. A fun story.

the winner of the 5th grade writing contest is...

about the worst book I have found on here.
no real words describe it except bad. and juvenile.
don't waste your money/credits/time or brain cells on this one.

Fun, fast paced space alien adventure.

Any additional comments?

If you like BV Larson's Starforce series and the main character Kyle Riggs then you'll enjoy this book too. It's everything you'd expect from a fun space opera. I hope it's the first in a new series.

Just fun Sci-fi not serious ,enjoyable character's

Fun, corny, good story. Kyle Riggs type. Worth the time for a somewhat predictable good guy wins type.

Bumpy but fun

Good characters left at the end for future stories, but a lot of complex things came together in the last quarter of the book where I wished there were more details. Felt like a bumpy ride, versus a roller coaster. Still a very fun ride. Christian Rummel was awesome, as always.

Should have been good but not my thing

Based on the outline and the glowing reviews I thought this book would be a real winner but was I ever wrong. I don't usually write reviews but I wanted to post a counter point to the five stars reviews to save some of you a credit if you are on the fence.

It's a painful listen, the story reads like it was written by a high school sophomore living out a juvenile fantasy. I guess some people like this style of writing, kind of a gear porn thing where equipment and tactics are described repeated and in great detail. I get it, it's a Jeep, move along. I'm sure there's a name for it but I see it most in amateur end of the world stuff.

The sad thing is the author got me on another book two years ago and it had the same issue. I guess it's a style that works for some, just now for me. Christian Rummel was great as always, just a good craftsman hampered by poor materials.

I was hoping for better

I am note sure if the book was better it I just could not get past the performance. I downloaded the second book and hope for a better voice actor

The main character doesn't use his head to think.

The main character thinks more with a certain male organ than with his head, ignoring immediate solutions which would solve the entire conflict of the book to save a girl he fell in love with after one kiss while refusing the obvious signs that he was strung along.

After an initial slow burn it took off!

At first I though this was going to be a ‘B movie’ version of an alien Sci-Fi but by chapter 5 I was hooked. It turned out to be a well thought out fresh twist to an alien invasion story. Can’t wait for the next one now!

Story a bit consused

Loved the performance and the story is entertaining, but with so many set changes i struggled to remember where it started. Essentially it is 3 story lines tied together by one "hero figure". For me a bit of an overkill for a standard sized book

Waste of time & money

The story is weak. The main character is a fool. I regret wasting time listening & only got through half of it.

Something a bit different.

A pretty good story line with enough excitement from advanced tech, aliens and nuclear weapons explorations as Lucas battles his way to keeping humanity safe from bad guys.
