Publisher's Summary

Silas McKnight is the owner of multi-million-dollar musical production company Knight & Day Productions. He’s rich, attractive, and loyal to his core. He’s the man every woman wants but none can have. He’s suffered immeasurable loss, and he doesn’t plan on ever going through that hell again.

Dara Jackson, the quirky, stunning meditation teacher at Lotus House Yoga, is also the owner of Sunflower Bakery. She’s always dreamed of being a baker - and a mother. Having grown up an orphan, Dara knows what being alone and feeling unwanted is like.

Silas and Dara meet one fated night and spend a single evening worshiping each other’s bodies. All is beautiful until Dara discovers a secret and disappears before the sheets are even cold. Except Dara and Silas can’t escape one another. Destiny has spoken, and these two are about to become far more intimate than they ever thought possible.

Outside Jakobi Diem & Diana Like- a pass for me

Okay story, but not what I expected at all. Also, cultural “preferences” to what beauty is which was odd. Jakobi’s character is sooo opposite of his normal narrations.. he’s always great, but the character was... I don’t know. Not for me at all. Just my opinion.

Good Narrators

Dianna Luke is my favorite female narrator. Jakobi sounds like JD Jackson who I also like. The story was just OK for me, I wouldn't listen to it again.

Interesting read

the story line was not bad it felt inauthentic in certain areas I recommend fully understanding a culture prior to writing about it. some of the attitudes given off by the women and word choices were cringeworthy and honestly i had to laugh at how bad it sounded...also when it realtes to private parts we dont use the words that were used in this book. This made the sex scenes awful.

Ok

I really liked this book and would recommend it. I wish this book was a movie or TV show. I would have given it 5 stars if the author hadn't used God's name in vain. This book touched on real life experiences and this couple was great together. I thought he was going to name the baby after his Doctor. I thought his crazy client was going to reveal she killed his wife. I thought his mother would be upset with the baby being name after her mother. Maybe the next girl will be Darlene Free McKnight apart of his mother. I think that was her name. I bet future books will have their daughter getting involved with his doctor son. That is the reason I thought maybe they would named his daughter after the doctor. I looked forward to future books with that type of theme. Even Dara biological parents showing up.

Just ok

I think it was a unrealistic story line. However the narrators were great and make the story better.

Loyalisa30

Audrey Carlan did an Excellent job with this friends-to-lovers romance. Dara and Silas were the epitome of Love personified ❣️The trust, loyalty, openness with their feelings and honesty in their expectations are everything any couple should strive for. Jakobi Diem’s sexy, masculine voice kept me enthralled throughout his narration 😍🥰😘❣️Diana Luke also did a wonderful job of bringing Dara to life❣️This audiobook was well worth the credit and one I’d be pleased to listen to time after time!

Really Good Story

I enjoyed this story for the most part...I can tell this story was not written by a person of color....because the story was about African Americans primarily.....Some of the verbiage use DEFINITELY is something we wouldn't use, when Silas talked about his sister's hair.....Yea....a straight black man wouldn't mention that his sister was wearing extensions, unless he was giving her a hard time....there was definitely some other instances that occurred...but, overall, I really enjoyed the development of their relationship....I truly also enjoyed the fact that they did live in a diverse community. Jakobi was OUTSTANDING as a narrator, the female narrator was tolerable....To me it should have been an African American Female Narrator....I think it would have done more for the story.

Love, Loss, and Destiny

I found this selection after stopping 2 chapters into another book whose story ventured into loss as I prefer lighter rom com stories. However, I was too invested into the characters to not finish. I am so glad I found this selection. It was great. Full of all of life’s best lessons! Loved the characters! I enjoyed the narration as well!
