Publisher's summary

Someone has torn them apart in the past, and she plans to do it again.…As Nick and Quinn piece together the truth about the life they once shared, they discover it was much deeper and darker than they ever imagined. In order to keep history from repeating, Quinn will need to master her unusual gifts—but that means admitting to herself and to Nick why she stopped using them in the first place.

He may never forgive her when he learns the truth, but Quinn is running out of options—because the clock is ticking, and it’s no longer just her life that hangs in the balance.

I want more!

these 2 books (yes you have to listen in order or they will make zero sense) are a perfect mix of twisty confusion, sweet soul mates and drama. I changed my theory of what was happening so many times, trust me don't even try just go along for the ride!
Jason Clarke is as always just amazing.
the female narrator has an odd inflection at the end of her sentences that can get a bit annoying but overall she was good.
I normally really dislike cliffhangers and having to buy two books for one story but I didn't mind so much with these. I wish the rest were on audible!!

Great conclusion to Nick & Quinn

All the questions I had were answered!! Loved that for me!.

Nick & Quinn literally were racing against time to solve the mystery. The writing was captivating and had me sucked in. I did feel like this was the completion of their story but saw there are more books, looking at the synopsis it looks like it’s new characters that we heard about .. and I have to say I’m intrigued!!

I listened with audible, and the narrators did such a good job. Their voices fit the characters and they flowed together nicely. This was a dual narration, with the narrators reading their characters full chapters. I think they did a good job with feminine & masc. tones.

I loved it

I read this duet awhile ago but I somehow loved it even more on audio. I was hanging on every word. Both narrators were phenomenal and I cannot recommend this duet enough!

Amazing!!

The conclusion of Nick and Quinn’s story took you on an epic ride full of even more twists and turns. These two has such a deep connection I loved seeing Quinn stand up for herself and do what she wanted to do with her life and I loved that Nick supported her no matter what came there way. These two had many obstacles but never gave up on each other. This duet captivated me from the beginning, the story emotional and different. I’m looking forward to reading the next duet in this series!

Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke gave an amazing performance and brought these characters and story to life. This duet was definitely one of my top 2023 listens!

Soulmates and Time Travel

This is the sequel to Parallel. If you haven’t read it yet, go download it.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠?

Wow! This duet is absolutely phenomenal. I devoured both books and have absolutely fallen head over heels in love with these two.

⏳Time Travel
⏳Forbidden
⏳It’s Always Been You
⏳Romantic Suspense

I love reading about soulmates. The absolute necessity to be together. Tear down the world, move mountains, can’t live without you kind of love. That’s what these two have.

The angst is high. Their love is world-altering.

This book will keep you on your toes from the very beginning. I love the mix of present day and dream/memories and switching between both Quinn and Nick’s perspectives.

The story is sweeping, suspenseful and powerful while the audio is excellently performed.

I loved everything about it and I am going to be switching over to reading the physical books as the audio for the next two in the series has not been released yet. But let me just reiterate, the audio was FANTASTIC! I just can’t wait for the next one 😆🫣

Intersect (The Parallel Series, Book 2)

Intersect didn’t take me on the same ride as Parallel did and for that I am very grateful! When I listened to book 1, I realized a lot of things before they unfolded but because of the amount of twisting the plot did, I was riveted like a deer in headlights, and was still stunned stooped when things actually happened. That was so not the case with Intersect!! Both things happened to me simultaneously for pretty much the entire time I listened. I honestly did not see a whole bunch of plot-points coming and even on the few occasions that I did, I was still just stunned by it all.

There are stories that I have read and/or listened to in the past that make me pause and think about the brilliant mind behind it because they are just so intricate in their storyline with brilliant character development that I just get lost in the awe of it all. This is one of those stories and I have to say this once again, but no one will ever convince me that listening to this duet is not the ultimate way to experience this story. If I’m being honest, because of the paranormal aspect, I more than likely would never have chosen to read this duet of my own mind (paranormal anything is just never on my radar, no matter the author), which makes me very thankful to Valentine PR for allowing me the opportunity to listen to this duet. It has been one of my best listening experiences of 2023!

It goes without saying but I’ll do it anyway (lol), I enjoy both Jason Clarke & Samantha Brentmoor every time they bring a story to life for me but this time, they have outdone themselves. They were perfectly matched, and I just cannot sing theirs and the story’s praises enough!

Not bad

My goodness, this duet has done a number on me. It was obvious from the absolute jump that Quinn & Nick were going to be endgame for me at least, although it really did bother me the way poor Jeff was kind of strung along to the last minute.
A ton happened in this book and I honestly thought my brain was gonna melt from the twists, but I held on tight and made it through.
I adore this authors writing.

I'll miss this love story... cause it's amazing!

🎧 Audiobook Review 🎧

This duet was everything that I didn't know I needed!
Nick and Quinn love story transcends every single timeline that they lived, and they make you believe in soulmates and how if you're meant to cross paths with someone, no matter what happens in your lives, you'll meet someday!

All the twists and turns that lead them to their happy ending are addictive and full of small clues, and you will find yourself gathering them and desperate for answers!

I loved how it ended, how it was all unravelled, and my only complaining here is that I needed more!
More of them with the twins, with Sarah, with themselves.
Just more.

This is also a story that makes me feel like I should navigate through different tropes more often, cause I loved the novelty of an unique storyline.

🎧 About the Audiobook Narration 🎧

Narrated by Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke and again, it was flawless!
I could hear them all day!

Nick and Quinn's romantic finale

The finale to Nick and Quinn’s story!! Thanks so much to Valentine PR and Elle O’Roark for the audio copy!! Just like with book 1, I binged this audiobook in like 3 days. This book deserves 5 stars and I was so happy/sad to finish up Nick and Quinn’s story.

Nick and Quinn are finally together, but time is running out. Quinn’s brain tumor is growing rapidly and it’s a race against time to discover more about how her abilities and the woman who keeps showing up time and time again. Quinn and Nick truly are soulmates, and having these flashbacks to their other lives makes me both sad on what their lives could have been but also happy they still somewhat remember these experiences. It’s just a beautiful sci-fi love story and I can’t get enough honestly. The soulmate trope, time-traveling, and the love story between Nick and Quinn is phenomenal and I’m so grateful to have listened to their journey.

If you loved this duology, the following two books are Sarah’s story, and they act as a prequel to these two books. If you loved Nick and Quinn, you’ll love that duology as well (but warning- it will break your heart and then repair it). I love Elle O’Roark’s writing with this series and her romance books written under Elizabeth O’Roark. She’s a must-read author for me and bother her books and audiobooks do not disappoint.
