Someone has torn them apart in the past, and she plans to do it again.…As Nick and Quinn piece together the truth about the life they once shared, they discover it was much deeper and darker than they ever imagined. In order to keep history from repeating, Quinn will need to master her unusual gifts—but that means admitting to herself and to Nick why she stopped using them in the first place.

He may never forgive her when he learns the truth, but Quinn is running out of options—because the clock is ticking, and it’s no longer just her life that hangs in the balance.

Protective, Strong Love

these 2 books (yes you have to listen in order or they will make zero sense) are a perfect mix of twisty confusion, sweet soul mates and drama. I changed my theory of what was happening so many times, trust me don't even try just go along for the ride!
Jason Clarke is as always just amazing.
the female narrator has an odd inflection at the end of her sentences that can get a bit annoying but overall she was good.
I normally really dislike cliffhangers and having to buy two books for one story but I didn't mind so much with these. I wish the rest were on audible!!

I enjoyed this one a lot more than the first book. After the huge cliffhanger I started this book right away. It continues where the story left off. So much stuff happens. There's lots of the unknown in the first half of the book especially with Quinn's condition. On top of that the mystery person that seems to have all the answers doesn't get revealed until the very end. As the truths start to unravel it was crazy how everything was interconnected.

As for the audiobook narration, fabulous job by Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke. They gave a top notch performance. The suspense and heartbreaking moments when Quinn and Nick had to face their problems with time against them. It tested their relationship multiple times. Samantha and Jason had me feeling all the anguish and the intensity of the last few chapters was so gripping. I couldn't stop listening until I finished. Samantha and Jason's narration kept me engrossed in the story until the very end.

All the questions I had were answered!! Loved that for me!.

Nick & Quinn literally were racing against time to solve the mystery. The writing was captivating and had me sucked in. I did feel like this was the completion of their story but saw there are more books, looking at the synopsis it looks like it’s new characters that we heard about .. and I have to say I’m intrigued!!

I listened with audible, and the narrators did such a good job. Their voices fit the characters and they flowed together nicely. This was a dual narration, with the narrators reading their characters full chapters. I think they did a good job with feminine & masc. tones.

Great conclusion to Nick & Quinn

I'm so glad that I was listening to this book on audio, because had I opted for kindle there is NO way I would have gotten anything done on New Year's Eve (2024).

What a story! I was fangirl flailing to Ms Brentmoor online about it and she assured me that I'd be hooked, and she was absolutely spot on. This story had me in a chokehold trying to work out what the ending was going to be like. I was wrong on all counts of course, and was delighted. The first two books work as a complete series in their own right, but it sets things up to explore the history of other characters in what follows. Now that I've seen the long term game that was being played, I'm really curious to see how it all comes together.

Romance, suspense and time travel - what a combination! I'm kicking off 2025 with books 3 & 4 in this series and I can't wait. This is some exceptional storytelling, which is elevated by the outstanding narration of Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke. The bulk of the story is told from Quinn's perspective, and rightfully so, but Jason's narration adds a wonderful counterpoint. Those two make a powerful dream team when it comes to voice acting, and they've long been one of my automatic 'Add to Cart' options. Now anything written by Elle/Elizabeth O'Roark is on that list too.
