Publisher's summary

This is a Kindred Tales PLUS novel

A successful older woman who has given up on love
A younger warrior who desires her desperately
When the two of them are sent to the sinister Tower of the Higher Mind
Where Lizabeth is Mistress and Lone is her Novice
Will it bring them together...or tear them apart?
You’ll have to listen to Instructing the Novice to find out.

Lizabeth Paige is mortified. Ever since a terrorist introduced the Xi-46 lust compound into the air ducts of the Mother Ship, she had been experiencing attacks of sexual needing that leave her helpless to resist her lustful urges. Much to her embarrassment, her assistant Lone helped her with the first attack, but she’s been managing on her own (though not very well) ever since. She feels drawn to Lone, but he’s much too young for her. Lizabeth tells herself it’s better if they keep their distance.

Lone has been in love with his boss from day one - he wants Lizabeth with his whole heart. Helping her through her first needing attack was like a fantasy come true, but now, for some reason, Lizabeth is trying to cut him out of her life. Desperate to bring her closer, he is elated when the Kindred High Council decides to send the two of them to The Tower of the Higher Mind for some extra training.

But there are dangers lurking at the Tower, which is located at the top of the Sacred Mountain. At its base live the Friezens - a tribe of savage, misogynistic natives who believe women are only useful for sexual-sacrifice. And in the Tower itself, some very strange customs hold sway. Lizabeth is now a “Mistress” and Lone must be her “Novice”, serving her in every possible way. Pulled between two extremes, will the terrors of the Tower draw them together...or kill them?

You’ll have to listen to Instructing the Novice to find out.

Warning: Please be aware that there is a scene in this book that listeners who have suffered attacks or abuse may find triggering. Please listen with caution. (PS - I promise it all turns out okay in the end! Hugs and Happy Listening! Evangeline)

5 star read!!

this book was HOT it has everything a good paranormal story should have, and its erotic so if your looking for a boring clean romance this is not it! I never give away spoilers but I will say there is a lot of word play during sex which I absolutely love! and no cheating and of course a hea the narrator did a really good job, she didn't di a overly fake job of the male voices which I appreciate this is a 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 book!

Good story but....

American writers are not doing a good job of portraying their women, especially the romance writers . The women come across as airheads with a dash of stupid . Let us get one thing straight being able to punch as hard as a man doesn’t make a woman strong. There are different kinds of strength.

Novice

This was a great book. I really enjoyed it. I have been looking for all of her books. It seems so real that I can slide into the story and be a invisible person in the room. I get inside of the whole thing. Thanks for your excellent mind.

Great story

I wish Audible would offer these books in the correct order. Was surprised to discover this book was related to the Xi drug; was lucky to browse through more books written by Evangeline Anderson and found it. This one dealt with topics that probably still occur today. There were a few hilarious parts, but for the most part, more drama. Now to browse around to find other books that continue situations mentioned in previous books! Narration was excellent as usual.

Older women are not stupid or brain damaged.

I love to read book with older characters. There is an exception to that preference, this book. I really hate the female lead in this book. The author should have written her as a person with mental illness. I could have possibly got into this character. Absolutely nothing about this character speeks to a woman with a career of any kind. Most definitely not a woman over 40, unless she has been mentally and physically abused since childhood. Maybe if the author rewrites the book from that angle it would be more tolerable. Note to author, neither men or women over 40 become prudes. It is actually the opposite for both. Then by 45 we don't even expect it from our children. Maybe physically we become more reserved (don't want to break anything) but otherwise this female lead is a joke. You actually did no research. You could have at least talked to your mom. A single 40 year old prude is actually a laughable concept. Even the most holy rolling woman at 45 is not turning down sex. Especially, not with a young man. LOL 🤣🤣🤣. Maybe, this book was a comedy. 🤔
