Publisher's summary

Dawn Oliver - daughter of theater royalty, talented in her own right, and, according to the internet...a complete and total fraud.

All she wants is a fair chance to prove herself - no nepotism, no social media campaigns, no sponsors. Just pure talent, which she has in spades, if she can just get someone to believe in her.

The way Patrick Bell does.

Straightforward, self-assured, and exactly the kind of energy Dawn needs, if he can get past his own demons. He's good with life as it is - he's managing, with no expectation of anything beyond a casual connection.

A chance meeting brings about an unexpected spark of chemistry...leading to a bond neither of them seems to be able to get away from.

Contains mature themes.

Not expecting that

I am hooked on Korra and Tariq’s story but CCJ did what needed to be done with Dawn and Patrick. Nicely done. Now I have to go back and read about Stephen and Nubia 😀

I LOVE Dawn, Patrick, and their HEA!

I LOVED this book! This entire series is amazing but I was not expecting to connect with this story as much since the characters are younger. Instead though, CCJ had me hooked from the start and I fell head over heels for Dawn and Patrick. This book got a hold of my heart and still hasn't let it go. So many feelings and such love for this story and I cannot give enough praise to the trauma-informed way CCJ weaves substance use, grief, and healing into such a special story. I would give it 6/5 stars if I could. And as always, #Weskobi aka Wesleigh Siobhan and Jakobi Diem did a phenomenal job narrating!

love this author!

I was kind of disappointed at first because the story just jumped right in with Dawn. unlike the other book in the series, which I finally realized that Dawn was a part of each series. I love the narrators, would give life and emotions to stories that they narrate. each book in this series had a point where it brought me to tears! can't wait to read other books by this author, great job Christina! 💗

Grieving and loving

This story give a balance of that internal evolution of grief and loving. Each person’s journey is different. This story gives an interesting blend with fear holding the ace. Yeah it’s like that. Thanks Christina for bringing out again so many similarities of our daily lives in print/audio.

Meh

number 3 of the series wasn't as good as the other 2. It felt like the author was running out of material. #Book37of2020 #bookworm #whatsnext

Great narration/OK story

I am a fan of Ms. Jones work, and I typically love her stories- but this, like the 2nd installment in the series were just OK to me. In fact, I liked this one the least out of all 3. The narrators are still a match made in Heaven and made me want to keep listening, but the content just didn't leave me feeling any type of way for these characters.

Good Series

Such a good series! I couldn’t stop listening. The storylines & the narrators were great. I’m hoping there’s a book 4 so I can get an update on the characters

Loved 💜

I really enjoyed this story. It was a great way to wrap up the series. I wish there was more! I always enjoy CCJ!! Narration, brought to us my the King & Queen, was perfection as always!
