Publisher's summary

Dewey Andreas, former Delta and current intelligence agent, is sidelined. Still drowning in grief after the tragic murder of his fiancee, Dewey has seemingly lost his focus, his edge, and the confidence of his superiors. A high-level Russian hacker, known only as Cloud, is believed to be behind a series of major terror operations, and the mission is to capture and render Cloud harmless. At the same time, a backup team is sent after the only known associate of Cloud, a ballerina believed to be his girlfriend. Unwilling to sit out the mission as ordered, Dewey defies his superiors and goes rogue, surreptitiously following and tracking the two teams. What should be a pair of simple snatch-and-grab operations goes horribly wrong - both teams are ambushed and wiped out. Only through the unexpected intervention of Dewey is the backup operation salvaged. Cloud's girlfriend reveals a shocking secret - a plot so audacious and deadly that the masterminds behind it would risk anything and kill anybody to prevent its exposure. It's a plot that, in less than three days, will completely remake the world's political landscape and put at risk every single person in the Western world. On the run, with no backup and with only three days left, Dewey Andreas must unravel and stop this plot or see everything destroyed. A plot that goes live on July Fourth - Independence Day.

Not his best but still worth the time

Not the best in the series but still entertaining. Dragged a bit in spots. Expected a little more.

Keep Em Coming Ben!

Read em all so far, and I still look forward to the next one. His story lines are very current, and so is his technology. Dewey Andreas is a much more up to date version of Jack Reacher.

Dewey is the best

Mr. Coes has surpassed his contemporaries in this genre in my mind, and Mr. Hermann is one of my very favorite narrators. I am going back to read all the books in this series. That is endorsement enough.

Great story! Didn't care for narrator

Loved the story, great Dewey continuation!
The narrator, besides showing off with his French and Russian pronunciations with accents (as most other narrators also do) to the point that I can't even tell what he/they said. (However, his Spanish wasn't so hot, Cádiz a coastal city in south eastern Spain is pronounced "Kah-deeth", not not how it would be spoken in English without knowing that.)
This is not what was bothering me though, his whispering is what I had major problems with.
I listen to books when I am doing something that doesn't allow me to use my hands. The volume he speaks in is normally loud, however, he whispers, VERY quietly, quite often! As I said, my hands are not free so I can't go back and replay what he said, so I miss it! Again, this happens a lot! To the point that I get upset and stop listening while working. I can't turn the volume up more as I would be blasting my ears with his normal speech.
Again, loved the storyline, bugged by the narrator!

Amazing

Every book in this series has been highly entertaining. I wasn't sure just from reading the description of the first book how much I'd like this story, but to me this is exactly why I read this style of writing. It is as far away from my reality as I could ever imagine and the characters are believable and highly likable.

Another great story!

Hermann does a great job in the narration. The action is as fast paced as ever and Comes does a nice job of going in a different direction with his characters. I appreciate the vulnerability of Dewey as we see him succumb to the pressure of all that happens to him...only to rise up.

So worth the wait!

I'm glad Ben waited in releasing this masterpiece! It was worth the wait!! Even though it's the 5th book in the series it would be a great first book to get a friend hooked on Dewey Andreas:)
