Love, Love, Love!!

I absolutely loved this new book from Lorhainne Eckhart. Follow Danny on his journey of self discovery to where he wants to land after law school and who he wants by his side the rest of his life. This was a fantastic friends-to-lovers story that readers won't want to end. Danny and Evie have been friends since they were little but slowly as they grew older feelings between them began to change yet neither wanted to act on those feelings for fear of ruining a beautiful friendship. Enter Charlie a girl who has had the hots for Danny since high school. Now Danny has a choice to make: choose a pretty high maintenance girl who dreams of bigger and better or his best friend who knows him better than anyone? There were times during the book when I wasn't sure if I wanted to kiss Danny or kick him and I'm probably not the only one. Readers will fall in love all over again with the Friessens in this new book In the Stars. Readers won't want to stop reading.

Ahh, young love!

I've been enjoying listening to several audiobooks by Lorhainne Eckhart recently. Even though I haven't read the Friessens series in order it really hasn't taken away from my enjoyment of the stories at all. This is my first audiobook performed by Jeana Rich and I thought she did a great job, much better than some of the other narrators of books in this series.

In the Stars brought back memories of falling in love when I was young. Danny and Evie seem so young but at that age you aren't just listening with your heart at times, if you get my drift. Danny and Evie have been friends forever but he is slow to realize that things are changing between them.

Evie is just a simple girl and she doesn't feel like she can compete with someone as sexy and gorgeous as Charlie Adams, who also happens to come from a rich family whereas hers is struggling. She steps aside and stops hanging around Danny.

What's that saying about not knowing what you had until it's gone? It takes that type of event to get Danny to wake up.

Like other books in this series, I could feel the family love the Friessens have for each other and I can see why readers can't get enough of this series. In the Stars is a sweet, but sexy (not explicit), story that's not too long but just right to listen to over a couple of evenings.
