Story
Still grieving the loss of her wandering, free-spirited mother, Lucy Kincaid leaves Nashville for the faded town of Cape Hudson, Virginia. She goes to see the house she’s inherited. At the heart of this mystery is the hope that maybe this “Winter Cottage” will answer the endless questions about her mother’s past including the identity of her birth father. Rather than the quaint Virginian bungalow Lucy expected, Winter Cottage is a grand old estate of many shadows - big enough to hold a century of secrets, passions, and betrayals.

Great short stories!
These short stories are great. A man with amnesia who uses different names but is otherwise nameless. He has visions of hideous futures that sometimes he can change, other times he cannot. Either way , he is a.vigilante and anyone he sets his sights on should beware of that prickly feeling when you know someone is on to you. But don’t take it seriously enough to change.
Edoardo Ballerini does a wonderful job narrating.
This novella has my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION.

Disturbing & Excellent
As always, Dean Koontz weaves a story that keeps you from beginning to end. I loved the narrator! He made me forget I was listening to a book. I was concerned this book was too graphic for my taste but Koontz allows you to wait for the justice despite the wickedness. I think we all crave a good "they got what they deserved" story! Amazing! Thank you
