As they get to know each other, Wesley realizes Audrey is the one bright spot amid the war’s unending bleakness and constant threat of death. But will he still feel the same if he discovers the secrets she is hiding? Secrets even Audrey is unaware of?

The author taught me so much. His writing is eloquent and thought provoking. It's a book I won't be forgetting.

Intelligently written, Very good book

I really enjoyed this book. It was very intelligently written with a lot of thought provoking lines.

Well Narrated

Simon Vance is one of the best narrators. The story is good but not exceptional and it’s worth a listen.

War, love, survival and loss. It was so good. Loved the weaving of truth and fiction that delivered an excellent story.

This book is so good! Stories of true heroism during war time. Simon Vance is my favorite narrator! He always brings every character to life for me! Love this book. Highly recommend

Outstanding "listen" or read

Absolutely loved this book and the narrator.
Had to listen every chance I had.

Wonderfully narrated, sad but beautiful story

I really enjoyed listening to In Times of Rain and War. The narrator was fantastic and a joy to listen to as he told a very intriguing story.

The story gave insight into those brave men that disarmed bombs that had yet to detonate in England. To find out all the ways that the Germans created the bombs was shocking. My mom has talked about the different bombs that flew over her neighborhood, but never detailed the problems with the bombs. I need to know more and that is thanks to the author.

The story didn't gloss over issues. However, the author didn't hide the tragedy of war. He brought me to tears on more than one occasion. My heart aches for what occurred in WW2. I can only hope more and more people decide to read or listen to the stories and learn.

Very engaging

I really like the author’s style, not over embellished and direct. The reader was excellent.

Heart wrenching!

This book left me ugly crying at the end. Heart wrenching and painful, but thought provoking and inspiring too.
