Doctor laura is straight forward, opinionated and humerous. Her voice is great to listen to- very expressive and interesting and the content is interesting and helpfull. After reading this book I am now a big dr laura fan and have listened to everything I could get my ears on. A great reminder for women who are (or want to be) full time mothers and the families that support them that what they do is important, valuble and can not be replaced!

I love Dr Laura and all that she stands for. I am a SAHM to 3 beautiful children for almost 8 years now, everything she says is on point. I know a few moms who would really benefit from this book. As for the one bad review I read, they stated the book has no "statistics". What kind of statistics are you looking for? Everything Dr Laura speaks about is common sense and truth. For anyone to not like this book is strange to me. But either way 5 stars all the way! I chose to listen to the audio version bc I don't really have time to sit n read so after putting the kids to bed I put head phones on and listened and loved every second. The day b4 I was losing my patience and this really helped make me see things in a new fresh light. Thank you Dr Laura, if only there was more people like you to encourage moms, the world today would be a better, safer place.

Good testimonies from stay at home moms

I very much enjoyed listening to this book. I looked forward to hearing the testimonies from stay at home moms validating the importance of this role. There aren't statistics or perspectives from stay at home dad's which would have been interesting to hear.

Repeatable! Awesome radio voice narration.

I love this book and will listen to it again. I first listened a year ago and have come back to listen again for the rich encouragement as I cut back on my work-from-home job expecting my second child. Entertaining, motivating and interesting, Dr. Laura pinpoints exactly what’s going on in the culture war of marriage and family - you’ll not only be inspired, you’ll have a completely new understanding and perspective of how society has influenced you and how you can take back an empowered mindset in your role as a mother, wife, and woman. Her stories perfectly illustrate her points and she offers practical advice and scripts throughout. I’m so glad Dr. Laura read this book - she’s passionate and natural, no one else could do it better.

I love Dr. Laura, and really appreciated the encouragement and affirmation in this book, in a world where SAHM are neither common nor appreciated. Highly recommend!

A great reminder about the importance of being your kid's mom. Uplifting and encouraging to those who have chosen or are considering being full time moms.

This was a great book

As a transitioning working mom this book helped me realize I am making the right decision to be a stay at home mom. I would recommend this book for any working moms who are transitioning to be a stay at home mom. The audio-book mentions an appendix with resources for stay at home mom’s however the audio-book does not cover the appendix with resources.
