Romance and intrigue!

There is nothing better than when an author can take real life problems and integrate them into a well written story. Patricia D. Eddy has a knack for doing it with this series and has me completely hooked! This story gives us Royce, owner of Emerald City Security as he heals from brain tumor surgery and a stroke. He is a strong man, but now with his limitations is very vulnerable. Inara is a sharpshooter, working for a private company and she suffers from PTSD. With similar pasts, they have much in common and are able to understand and relate to each other. This love affair is captivating, taking true life issues and bringing them to the forefront. But not only is this a love story, the impending dangers that occur are not to be ignored. High action and suspense keep you on the edge of your seat as you listen.

This narration by Aiden Snow and Grace Grant is astonishing. Snow's performance of Royce, with speech and health problems is so believable, you would think that it was his normal pace of narration. Grant gives voice to Inara with grit and passion. Between the two, you would think they were the actual characters telling us the story. Loved this team, and it's a must listen!

Wow - just wow

I cannot get enough of this series!! Inara and Royce are two completely broken individuals that need each other to piece themselves back together. But can you support another person while you yourself keep falling apart? Highly emotional and highly captivating. I think I have found me new go to series to listen to again and again as Aiden Snow and Grace Grant could not have brought this story to life any better.

I love that the author chose to use a strong female character. She was definitely a hero! Fun military style story! Great narration.
