Love Perseveres, Tearjerker, Recommend

The first book in the Sunset Beach Stories series. This is the history between Becca and James who are now in their 80's, Faith her granddaughter and Daniel the man who comes into Faith's life. Listening to this beautiful story of a couple who met and fell in love in their 20's. The story begins with Becca just up and disappearing days before her 80th birthday, setting off a search for her. There is times when I found myself crying as I listened to their story, and everything they went through. This is a great start to this series. I recommend. JD Hart brings another great story to life.

Arc review/audible

I received a free copy of this book via Annie Carr's Sweet Romance Review Team and am voluntarily leaving a review.
this was such a beautiful romance. when Rebecca goes missing from the Assistant living home her family gets worried but they finds that life has a way of circling back around and that true love finds a way .I loved how even at 80 Rebecca is still young at heart and helps faith see what she sees in Daniels.

Awesome love story

I’ll Always Love You is the first book in the Sunset Beach stories by Sharon Hamilton’s new pen name Annie Carr, and I adored it. This was a captivating sweet second chance love story. I could not put the book down. Rebecca falls in love in a trip to Sunset Beach. James joins the Navy, and she doesn’t see him again. They reconnect many years later. The problem is that her family doesn’t know where she is. Becca’s granddaughter Faith solves the mystery and goes to find her. She finds a possible happily ever after for herself along the way. Becca is a wonderful, spunky role model. I loved this book, and I can’t wait for more of these wonderful stories! JD Hart did an awesome job narrating this book. I thoroughly enjoyed the book just as much the second time around!

Bringing Love Full Circle

I enjoyed this audiobook so much! This dual timeline story has a contemporary storyline featuring a granddaughter (and the rest of the family) trying to track down the 80-year-old grandmother. She went missing from her rest home not long before her birthday. All that they know is that she appears to leave willingly with a man. The search and the beginning of the granddaughter's romance is the contemporary timeline. Chapters of this alternate with chapters of Grandma telling about her first love, how they met, and how he changed her life in so many ways, though he was not the man she married. This book certainly brings the feels in every good way. At times I didn't quite understand both the grandmother’s, when she was young, and the granddaughter's way of thinking about men and relationships. It didn't seem quite realistic. However, this didn't really detract from my enjoyment of the story. Because I've listened to several books by this author, I'm familiar with the narrator, a man who does a surprisingly good job of narrating women's voices. I loved how the book ended. I won't give it away, but it has a very satisfying ending for the reader… and for Grandma! Highly recommended.

love love love

One of the best stories I listened to in a while. Being told by JD Hart made it even more enjoyable. The story switches between present and past, going down memory lane with Rebecca and her first love. I was happy they get their second chance even if later in life, sad that they lost so much time, but such is when fate intervenes. I recommend this book with 5 stars, wish I could give more. Looking forward to the next story in the series.

A great story

This is book one of this series and will leave you wanting more. It was a little hard for me to get into at first, I’m not a fan of third person POV books. But as the story progresses, you also get a first person POV by the grandmother. I was a tad confused at first when it went from third person to first person and it didn’t say at the start of the chapter that it was the grandmother. Once I realized it was, I started getting into the story.

I loved that the mystery of what happened to the grandmother was revealed by her. As I got into it, I loved that I felt like I was getting two stories in one. I laughed, I teared up, I felt all the emotions of this story. I was rooting for the first love, the budding romance and the second chance. I loved the secrets and mystery and the crazy theories of what could have happened. I can’t wait to read book two.

The narrator, JD Hart, did an amazing job of bringing this story to life. Although it threw me off at first having a man reading a book told in two women’s views, he did a fantastic job at voicing them and all the other characters in the book. I haven’t listened to him narrate before, but I am excited to hear his other works.

I received an advanced listeners copy via Booksprout and borrowed the book via Kobo plus. These thoughts and opinions are my own and left voluntarily.

Past and Present

The story has two romances being told simultaneously, one past and one present. The past story explain the actions seen today. I found it to be a sweet story, where love endures and never really ends. The story is addictive, and I kept going because I wanted to know what happened to the grandmother. Although I enjoyed the story, I did not have the emotional response common in romance stories, triggered more an analytical view like reading a suspense novel.
