Publisher's summary

All the characters return for the final part of Idi's story. Grown into a powerful magician, Idi must prepare for the war that is coming. Katrina has grown into a beautiful young lady, despite her manly attire, and her affections for Absalom are worn on her sleeve. She must, however, vie for his attention against the stunning Loreiei who is set on marrying the future king of Talia. The ogre Crannog-Fergal adopts the Fart Platoon goblins and sets about building a gateway to other worlds. The Brothers decide it time to teach more people about magic, and Marcus the magician continues to educate them all in the ways of the Elements.

Spectacular

Idi now carries the weight of a great burden, the grief of helplessness, and sorrow of self doubt as the obstacles before him seem to grow, can he grow to match them? All our favorite characters are back, and as they grow older and wiser so does our love for them.
This is an epic adventure that offers hope and redemption, with relatable and deep characters. I must say hearing the narrator describe the evil attacking the lungs of people, during these trying times (COVID19) made the story seem even closer to home. Perhaps we could all use more of this kind of story and message right now.
If you like fantasy you will love this, though I would recommend starting at the beginning of the series.

Exciting Fantasy

I really liked this third book in the "Born To Be" series. This book had all the elements needed for a great fantasy story. The world building was interesting. The characters were charming and complicated. There were several types of fantastic beings such as ogres, pixies, witches, etc. There was magic, and there was some humor. Steve White's narration enhanced this fantastic story with his use of various voices for the different characters, and I enjoyed his performance. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Great series

I really enjoyed all 3 books. I’m starting the series over again to see what I missed. So many different characters that I have connected with and want more!

beautiful ending ... and intro to the next?

What a lovely fantasy series! There are a plethora of characters and fantasy creatures but they're really well developed. The lines between good and bad people are muddied (as they are in our world) and T N Traynor shows the multitude of facets in us all without becoming preachy or patronizing. This third book in the trilogy had a satisfying ending and the epilogue promised more to come within the vivid world Traynor has created. I'll be watching eagerly for the hoped-for next book.

I've said this before but wow, Steven White is the perfect narrator for this book (and for fantasy in general). He demonstrates his mastery of voices and accents in this fantasy trilogy. I hope Idi pops in when the new series comes out just to hear his voice again. I absolutely love the voice White uses for Idi. And after that, Katrina's "Papper" is probably my favorite word :)

I heartily recommend this audiobook series for all fantasy lovers.
