A must

Easy to understand clarity on body language. One of the best body language books I have listened to. His voice is nice to listen to.

Good information

Straight forward information that can be used in daily life. I look forward to more books from these two authors!

Great concepts but poor narration

The theory in the book seems to be solid, however, the narration is distracting. The male and female author speak alternately with the male narrator speaking most. He speaks too fast and it needs to be slowed down to pick up the concepts discussed. It was distracting listening to the voices switch between male and female and they also had different paces. Would love to listen again with a re-recording.

Fabulous in every way!

I am greatly enjoying this book! I really like that it’s Greg reading it to me. I appreciate the way he explains everything so I can easily understand, and follow along. I have even been going to sleep at night with a chapter playing so I can absorb it that way too. And, I like Greg’s voice 😉
This is my first book on Audible, and I wish I would have explored this media form earlier. I am a huge fan of the Behavior Panel! ❤️ Scott’s book is next, and Mark’s is on my wish list. Chase is slacking, with his not on here.

Excellent book

Narration was well done. The difference in the voices is actually a help. The difference makes you listen closer.

Delivers As Promised

It's a pretty straight forward book that makes a lot of sense.

The only thing that might throw some people is that it is so straight forward. It's more of a how-to manual than a fluffy business book. This is a huge positive in my view, but I've found that most people only want easy, 45 second solutions and tend to dismiss anything like this that will require some extra thought.

Bottom line is that Hartley, as in his other books, gives the basics of reading someone - establish a baseline, observe them under different scenarios or questions, and then hone your skills. That's the part I think some won't like. They want some black and white cue that they can easily discern, and never requires any adjustment for context. (Crossed arms always mean X, or a liar always does Y.)

That’s what led me to I Can Read You Like a Book by Gary Hartley and Maryann Karinch. It didn’t disappoint. I definitely walked away with some fresh insights and practical ways to fine-tune how I interpret body language.

The timing was perfect too—I actually finished this book the very morning of an afternoon where reading body language was absolutely necessary. Let’s just say it paid off. A solid read if you’re looking to better understand the signals people are giving you without saying a word.

Disappointing

Gregory has great content on YouTube. This though, was hard to get through. Way too methodical
