The hunters become the hunted in this thrill ride of dark terror and obsession.

Remi Dumas, a local detective, is reluctantly partnered with the older, more experienced FBI field agent Elias Suarez when a string of mutilated corpses start showing up near the Louisiana swamps. A serial killer known as “The Beast” who terrorized the community by targeting young men for years has resurfaced. The odd feeling Remi knows who the notorious serial killer maybe if he could only just remember hangs over him, and when he discovers the victims have the same strange carvings in their skin that were found on his older brother Rene’s body 20 years ago, the case becomes personal.

When the tables turn and The Beast sets his sights on Remi, it becomes clear that Remi will need to put his skills to the ultimate test to make it out of this investigation alive. As Remi searches his present and his past for clues to the murderer’s identity, he struggles against his growing attraction to Elias, the man he loves to hate.

In a world where killers hunt under the cover of darkness, Remi must rely on the partner he’s not sure he can trust to help him drag a murderer and Remi’s life into the light.

This is a dark, M/M novel with high heat. It contains violence, gore, and disturbing themes. It is not intended for all audiences; reader discretion is heavily advised.

This audiobook is part of Criminal Delights. Each novel can be listen to as a standalone and contains a dark M/M romance.

Warning: These audiobooks are for adult listeners who enjoy stories where lines between right and wrong get blurry. High heat, twisted, and tantalizing, these are not for the fainthearted.

This has to be one of the worst narrator readings ever. There were probably 100+ times when the narrator repeated whole sentences back-to-back. At first, I assumed it was bc he made a simple mistake and while that happened a couple of times, at least 99% of the time, the sentence was read exactly the same. That just doesn’t work for someone like me. The only thing that kept me listening was the story was really well developed and written. Would recommend reading the book instead of listening to the story with this narrator.

Great story - horrible narrator

This is the first story I’ve listened to/read by this author.  All I can say is WOW.  I’m sitting in a fog after this.  A good fog but this is one of the most intense stories I’ve listened to.  Be ready to like dark and you have been warned but I wish she would write more of the non paranormal.  The mystery part is crazy…twists great.  Characters too realistic if possible.    The narrator Zach Nesmith brought the characters to life.  The story flow is really good.  This story will cause me to check out others in this series.

Really held my attentiom

I liked the story, it was a bit slow at the start but it picked up closer to 40% and gotten very suspenseful and unputdownable by the end. I didn't guess who the bad guy was until he was revealed and it was interesting how the story unfolded for all 3 characters. I thought narrator did an ok job, he had a pleasant voice, but he read the story without giving voices to characters and sounded like he was rushing through it. This was new for me author and i want to check out her other books.

Wow. That was intense. I don’t know what I was expecting but it wasn’t that. I loved it. I would have liked this story to be a little bit longer as it let me wanting more. The audio narration was great. Zach Nesmith is a new narrator to me and I’m looking forward to more by him
