Publisher's Summary

The most serious duty of transmitting human life, for which married persons are the free and responsible collaborators of God the Creator, has always been a source of great joys to them, even if sometimes accompanied by not a few difficulties and distress. At all times the fulfillment of this duty has posed grave problems to the conscience of married persons, but, with the recent evolution of society, changes have taken place that give rise to new questions which the Church could not ignore, having to do with a matter which so closely touches upon the life and happiness of men.

Wonderful to have on Audible

Very glad to see this available. The document is so important for modern church history. 50th anniversary of the document was just yesterday!

Priophetic

A prophetic and beautiful document explaining why, for the sake of human dignity, it is contrary to God’s natural law to artificially separate the marital act from the possibility creating new life. Simply beautiful.

great to read!

This helps to put the sometimes-confusing Catholic Church into modern and fair perspective. Furthermore, the narrator did an exceptional job.

Deeply meaningful.

This is a work of a true ambassador of God. It's very thoughtful, straightforward and humane. It's even more meaningful when we take into the conversation that at the time it was written, there wasn't any technology that would scientifically prove what the content of this work conveys to a reader.
