Publisher's Summary

Part autobiography, part self-help, part confession, part celebration of being a common-or-garden woman, part collection of synonyms for nunny, Sarah Millican's debut audiobook delves into her super normal life with daft stories, funny tales and proper advice on how to get past life's blips - like being good at school but not good at friends, the excitement of IBS and how to blossom postdivorce.

If you've ever worn glasses at the age of six, worn an off-the-shoulder gown with no confidence, been contacted by an old school bully, lived in your childhood bedroom in your 30s, been gloriously dumped in a Frankie and Benny's, cried so much you felt great, been for a romantic walk with a dog or worn leggings two days in a row even though they smelt of wee from a distance, then this is your audiobook. If you haven't done those things but wish you had, this is your audiobook. If you just want to laugh on a train/sofa/toilet or under your desk at work, this is your audiobook.

Disappointing but probably my fault

I'd seen her on TV on programs like Would I Lie To You? ...I live in Australia...and she was funny and likeable, and the site recommended the title to me, however I found it overly crude and without the subtlety of the greats of English comedy over the years. They didn't need to be "in your face" like this. My mistake in not doing my homework, I guess.

Excellent

I loved this book! Her down to earth autobiography was just the book I was looking for. I loved all of her stories and especially appreciated her advice on just being true to yourself and not caring what other people think. I loved listening to her describe how she became champion. I know I will listen to this book again and again when I need a bit of cheering up and solid life advice.

Far too funny.

I listened to this while at work. This was a mistake. It's incredibly difficult to silently laugh, especially while you're working and supposed to be paying attention to said work. People who like a good laugh, and some solid truths about life, need to listen to this. Just don't listen to it at work unless you're not the only one who will be listening.

A honest a humourous account of how Sarah came to be (Choice words included) one of the UK's best comedians. Funny throughout.

5 Champion Stars

One of the most enchanting women reads one of the sweetest autobiographies.

Sarah welcomes you into her life through food, jokes, honest storytelling, animals and a little self help advice.

We often see Comedians put out interesting and funny books. This is the one that you need to actually pick up and take home.

The audio narration, editing and production was top notch. Highly recommend.

Im a 20 year old man.

Given my age and sex, I doubt I'm Sarah's target audience but this book is fantastic! Every chapter had me laughing. She has a great talent for mixing together funny anecdotes with great advice and serious solutions to serious problems. Couldn't stop listening!

Funny and thought provoking

A brilliant listen .
Sarah’s unique views on life made for an excellent book. She is funny and down to earth, risqué in places and totally honest in her observations.
I really enjoyed listening to this audible book

Really fun, great treat for fans of Sarah

I’ve been a fan of Sarah for years and it’s so wonderful to hear stories of her life. Because a lot of her act is discussing her life, a lot of jokes are used in her stand up but it doesn’t really matter. She seems to wear her heart on her sleeve and doesn’t care if people don’t like it or not. She comes across as such a nice woman who we all want to be friends with. This is such a genuine celebrity autobiography. Nothing is off limits and you feel you know her a little bit better.

Not for the faint hearted but incredibly funny and very honest. I felt as If I’d been through a few hours of counselling !!! Despite it being Sarah’s bio, a lot resonated with me. Thoroughly enjoyable listen.

Positive, practical real life examples of how Sarah found success.

This is different to your run of the mill autobiography; in a good way.
Sarah Milligan talks about life's challenges and how she has dealt with them. It is always positive, strength based and above all 'doable'.
