Good knowledge of when someone is lying

The book provides good insight into the reasons and the observations needed to detect when somebody may be lying to you. As somewhat of an introvert myself I can see people possibly believing that I might be lying to them because I failed to make eye contact frequently. Provided good insight for me as to how to deal with people when I want to convince them of something I need them to understand and believe. I enjoyed the book.

Informative book

The author has some amazing insight here. Excellent material. I loved the section on the tone of voice meaning. Although I realize that men often talk deeper when they are attracted to a woman, and such but I didn't realize how that can indicate a liar.

Awesome book

I have always found this subject very interesting. I took longer to read this than normal because there is so much information I wanted to remember and highlight. This Author goes beyond typical body lies that are detectable but his research is evident under subtitles like facts about lying. I enjoyed this section. For example, one fact I thought was extremely interesting is most liars only believe that one in seven lies will be discovered.

Pretty thorough

The book's methods are not 100% effective, though. I once dated a pathological liar who never exhibited the telltale physical signs. Some people are just really, really good at it, I guess. Still, an informative read well worth getting, with techniques that will help you navigate social situations. Recommend.

Well-researched

This book includes nicely organized evidence regarding one's body language, facial expressions, and voice tone in different situations, as well as what they mean by it. I found the psychology behind why individuals lie and how to spot them based on their actions.

Well done

I especially liked the sections on why people lie, dealing with motives and how to read little nuances in body language. This book is a great quick read for learning how to tell if someone is lying to you. Many tips are great for learning how to read people in general.

Perfectly!

Wow, one interesting book. It made me want to try the method out and watch how people react while they talk. Though I have a slightly different opinion than the author on some points, I found the book very well researched and informative as well as interesting. I also liked the pep talk at the end.

Quick, informative

Quick and informative well written read that helps you be able to read the body language a little better to determine when and if someone is lying. Nothing is 100% but everyone has told that if you're paying attention, you'll see easily. Highly recommend.

Informative

This book is extremely informative. More people need to learn human behavior. But since this is such a visual analysis, maybe better as a video series. This book is a good book to just read so that when you are interacting with people, you can tell who you can trust and who you can't.

Well Worth

I learned several small cues to notice when face to face with a potential liar that I was unaware of. The book thin slices all the signs into most potential situations we could confront a disingenuous person. Williams bases the book on research and experience from other experts plus a few of his ideas. Well worth the short read.

On Point

Wow, this book is a great tool to learn more about discerning people by their actions, words, and behaviours. I think this helped me understand more about human nature and the knowledge comes in handy especially when you are doing sales, or when you're dating, or in extreme scenarios, like avoiding getting scammed.

The Power of Words

This book makes the art of listening to people and understanding personal cues easy for the layperson. Listening to people has always fascinated me. It is perhaps one of the most useful and underrated life skills. Knowing how to interact with people, based on observable micro-behaviors, puts you one step ahead. If these skills intrigue you as well, I recommend you take this book!

Interesting and useful

To understand human behaviour, one must study a significant portion of psychology. You will only master a strong understanding of human behaviour if you have a strong understanding of various theories and methodologies
