Packed full of Up-to-date information. The reader was awesome too. There are a lot of books on the market that speak on this topic, but this book gets deep into the nuts and bolts of doing good business and going into business for yourself.

One of the Most in-depth Music Business Books!,

What I liked about this book was the author, was able to discuss his mistakes. I have always wanted to start an Indy Music & Film Company. I have read many business books, but this was audio book was laid out step by step.I definitely will follow what I learned in this book and go over the key principles again. I’m glad I took a chance on this book above the many on the subject of Music Business.

Refreshingly practical and actionable

Not a book for casual readers, but for serious individuals looking to take their career to the next level. I found it refreshingly practical and concise, and loved how it cut out the bullshit new age buzz words and catch phrases you see in so many self improvement books. It was like Robert Greene for the music biz. Great narrator too.

The worst qualities of the music business.

This guy is a thug. A rich thug, I’ll give you, but still a thug. What he is promoting in this book is the worst qualities of the music business today. In encouraging artists to copy and plagiarize other’s work, it diminishes the creative aspect of the music business, and does not add to the substance of the universe at all. he is interested in making money, and nothing else. In several instances he contradicts himself, Encouraging new artist to copy others successes, but then later in the book emphasizes it’s important to be original. There are very few actionable steps in this book. There is strategy, and a high-level advice, but very little information on how to proceed in detail to get your music out there and market it well.

Some interesting Info but very repetetive

How long does it take to drive home a point? I found this an OK listen and its well read. The info contained within isn't really anything groundbreaking and I think "secrets" is perhaps the wrong word. It could be summed up as a book that says work hard, use all social media, keep generating content and you'll be successful......now let me tell you all about how successful I am! The difficult part for me in the way that its written is that it does make some decent points sometimes but it then repeats it over and over ad nauseam.
