Publisher's Summary

Northern Exposure. Even in Grundy, Alaska, it’s unusual to find a naked guy with a bear trap clamped to his ankle on your porch. But when said guy turns into a wolf, recent southern transplant Mo Wenstein has no difficulty identifying the problem. Her surly neighbour Cooper Graham, who has been openly critical of Mo's ability to adapt to life in Alaska, has trouble of his own. Werewolf trouble.

For Cooper, an Alpha in self-imposed exile from his dysfunctional pack, its love at first sniff when it comes to Mo. But Cooper has an even more pressing concern on his mind. Several people around Grundy have been the victims of wolf attacks, and since Cooper has no memory of what he gets up to while in werewolf form, he’s worried that he might be the violent canine in question. If a wolf cries wolf, it makes sense to listen, yet Mo is convinced that Cooper is not the culprit. Except if he’s not responsible, then who is? And when a werewolf falls head over haunches in love with you, what are you supposed to do anyway? The rules of dating just got a whole lot more complicated….

Great narration. I like to list this first as it can make or break a story.

Really enjoyed the book

Would you listen to How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf again? Why?

Yes, I would listen to this again. It was great for listening to whilst driving - although snorting with laughter when pulled up at the lights made me glad I was wearing sunglasses :D

Who was your favorite character and why?

All the characters were fun but I liked Mo the best for her dry, sarky humour and for not being afraid to bean a werewolf with a fire extinguisher!

What does Amanda Ronconi bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I thought Amanda Ronconi really added to my enjoyment of the book with clearly separating the different characters (I loved the accents!) and also having the right tone for the humour.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

For once being stuck in traffic wasn't a trial as I got to listen to more of the story, but I actually quite liked hearing it in installments and probably preferred that to listening to it all in one sitting.

Any additional comments?

This was my very first Audible book and I am so pleased that it gave me so much enjoyment. I have bought the second book and can't wait to start that one.

I was very happy that I could at last buy the book as unfortunately, due to the huge aggravation of geographic restrictions, I have been prevented from buying the ebook version.

Perfect combination of author and narrator!!

I am a huge fan of the partnership between Molly Harper and Amanda Ronconi, and this book was the best yet. There is no doubt it is not intended to be taken too seriously. These books are light, funny, clever and totally entertaining. Ronconi gives the perfect voice to Harper's characters, and I found myself laughing out loud while listening. I can't imagine a Molly Harper book in any other voice The characters in small-town Grundy, are charmingly eccentric - I loved them and laughed along with them. This is perfect for bed time listening. or if you're having a bad day. Fabulous and totally worth a credit! Get them all!!

Fun sexy with a good paranormal story

If you could sum up How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf in three words, what would they be?

paranormal sexy funny

What other book might you compare How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf to and why?

Any of Molly Harpers books or the Undead and .... series

Have you listened to any of Amanda Ronconi’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

None before but she made the characters come alive for me. Very easy to listen too

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Did not really consider the duration

Any additional comments?

Cannot wait for Molly to write some new stuff

Cute

Mo (Moonbeam) Wenstein moves north to Grundy Alaska and meets Cooper a self imposed exile werewolf.

People are being attacked around Grundy by a wolf and no clues as to who is doing it.

While Mo and Cooper begin to get romantically closer, the more dangerous things become and accusations of who the werewolf creating the problem is.

Definitely based on a true story - hahahaha! It was a cute read to take the mind off the covid-19 virus situation and Amanda Ronconi did a great job narrating.

Surprisingly great

This was my first ever audiobook and I loved it. It was a little weird hearing a woman speaking the men's roles and how they all sounded like raspy old men but it didn't stop me from enjoying the book. I don't have enough experience to rate the performance of the narrator so I'm just going with 3 stars.

Unlikley but effective combination of genres

I'm not generally a follower of either the supernatural or romance genres so this was not a book I would typically have chosen. I can't say what made me decide to give it a go but the Molly Harper / Amanda Ronconi team deliver some bizarre and comic results and have made me keen to find more of the same. The wonderfully matter-of-fact way the author deals with some of the more unusual aspects of the supernatural I found very appealing. All in all, a great, comedic listen with some laugh out loud moments.

Disappointing

I really enjoyed "the care and feeding of stray vampires". This was neither as funny nor as clever, and there was way more sex than I am comfortable listening to on audio in a public place! Sulky werewolves also aren't that appealingly to me - and I'm not keen on the "I have to hurt/abandon you to save you from me" give the girl some credit for having some brain and some guts.

Also, I'm Australian so I can't judge, but some of the accents seemed really weird to me. Do Alaskans really sound like that?

Great fun story had me laughing out loud

Would you listen to How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf again? Why?

I thought this was a great story with interesting characters. Harper makes an unbelievable scenario seem so plausible.

I really enjoyed this book and couldn't wait to get back to it.

Twilight for grown ups

Like the other reviewer, I was a bit wary when I started listening to this, but I actually grew to really like her accent. The story itself is very enjoyable, I was a little disappointed when I realised how many parallels there were with Twilight (don't get me wrong, I LOVE twilight, but I was hoping for something a bit more original) I still really enjoyed listening to it, but was quite glad to be doing so on headphones as there are some quite explicit sex scenes!! Although there are some quite serious themes throughout the book, there are a lot of funny moments which had me laughing out loud. I love how squirmy any mention of Mo's parents made me feel, they are such brilliant characters, but I would not want to meet them! Overall it was really good and lighthearted to listen to, I only took off one star for the Twilight similarities.

Just a romance story really

I found this OK but nothing like as good as the first book in Molly Harpers Half Moon Hollow Vampire series.

This is more a straightforwards romance book where one half of the pair happens to a be a werewolf, and its missing some (but not all) of the humour that makes Nice Girls Dont Have Fangs so entertaining.

I suspect this is more a book that will appeal to female listeners. The heroine is likeable enough and the Male lead is a typical overprotective and stupid brooding character with the cliched back story.
Undecided as to whether I will bother with the next one, though I probably will at some point especially if it appears in a 2 for one offer like this one did

So bored!!!

It took me a couple of years to get through this book. Literally. There was nothing overtly wrong with the writing, and the narration was fine, but something about the characters and plot line made it all so dull. I kept getting distracted because I didn’t care about what happened next, and I ended up listening to other books in the meantime until I could be bothered to finish it. Two years later and I’ve finally done it! No chemistry between the characters and the hero was one of the most disappointing heroes I’ve had in a book in recent history. This was the equivalent to the fluffy chick lit holiday reads that I avoid like the plague that have zero emotional depth. The paranormal element was very light and it read more like a normal romance novel that happens to have werewolves in it.

Very enjoyable

Being English, getting used to the narrator's accent took me a while, but a couple of chapters in I saw it more as a good thing, adding more reality to the book. The book as a whole is very well written and the plot was exciting. I took to listening in my car on the way to work, desperate to finish it. I look forward to reading/listening to more from this author.

Should have been marked erotica

Seemed like and enjoyable, unusual love story with a good narrator and it was, for the first 2 hours. Then suddenly it descends into a graphic sex scene! I skipped to the end to find out what happened to the characters and don’t seem to have missed much.

Enjoyable

enjoyed the story, couple of annoying changes in narrators voice throughout the performance, book ends kind of suddenly but not in an edge of the seat cliffhanger way. still I'm sure I'll pick up the next books in the series

Funny, sad and highly entertaining. Molly Harper is a good author, definitely on my read more list, and Amanda Ronconi a talented narrator. If you are into this type of fiction give M H a try.

I really loved the characters, I laughed a lot and wished the story was a lot longer. The characters are strong, witty, sarcastic and can be bitchy. In a funny way. Just an awesome listen!!

New Molly, old love

As I am making my way through Molly Harper's books this year, I finally made it to this series.
All though it has everything I love about her books, it was a bit weird reading about someone being cold for a change 😂
Even though I do understand the urge to move to Alaska!

Quirky and amusing

Another entertaining and amusing yarn with quirky characters and a great storyline. I love listening to Amanda Ronconi's narration and characterizations as it adds another dimension to the story. I will have to listen to the rest of this series.

Love it.

I really like Molly Harper as an author. Over the last 8 or so years I have listened to the Naked Werewolf series 3 times and I still enjoy the stories. Amanda Ronconi is a marvellous narrator! Amanda brings the stories and characters to life. She nails the different voices and accents.

A good Laugh!

When I choose a book I look at the cover, and I was worried, but i bought it to give it a go, and now i am currently buying the next one. It has a not to bad story line but the Narrator, was brilliant, there is a good amount of comedy and snarky comments that make the book really enjoyable, I couldn't put it down.
