Was Even Crazy?

I didn’t really see a reason to stock Miley. Was it revenge against the villains? What would have happened if Even had marked her, out of spite?

Fantastic humor and chemistry!

So this one had some hard moments to handle but I loved it more than book 1! I thought the audio was way better, it felt more genuine and no weird moments for me. I liked the performances from both narrators, added to the overall story and world-building. Easily made this a 5/5 stars with the great audio!

The story picks off where we left off in book 1, where Miles has to deal with being turned a vampire against her will while dealing with a mate she didnt know about! I felt bad for her with the blood only staying down from her mate, I was so mad at Xander for not telling her! I did appreciate him worming his way back in though and not being forgiven together outright, he deserved to grovel a bit haha. I thought the chemistry was even better in this one compared to the couple in book 1. There was so many tete-a-tetes and banter was hilarious. As someone who loves to write lists, the couple moments the characters did that, with their options and "agreements" made my heart so happy and the smile not leave my face haha. The way the two had to learn to allow someone else in, to be open and honest was beautiful and I didn't want it to end.

The story in this one was great, a lot of twists and being on the edge of your seat. I did think how it ended was a little anti-climatic but still a solid story and not disappointed with the flow and back and forth. I liked the cameos we got from couple #1 and from the future #3 haha and more side characters we get to know in other stories. I also love the brothers mom and how Xander announces he is mated hahaha. Anastasia is amazing, I would love to get her story with her hubby because she is adorable and brought so much to these standalone interconnected stories.

I think this one was my favorite, I love the steam, the caring nature of Xander to Miles with her feeding, but how Miles took care of Xander as well. They needed to push each other and the funny moments were equal to the swoon moments. Love love love!
