Funny, quirky, enjoyable read

A funny, sexy, uplifting and yet sometimes bleak look at one woman's quest to learn more about the plight of being a single woman over the age of 35-ish from New York City to various cities around the world. Narrated with engaging quirkiness by actor Judy Greer, I couldn't wait to hear more.

It's a must listen too.

I got this book, because I heard that Dakota Johnson was in the movie coming out in 2016. This book had me laughing even though I'm not single any more I felt like I coukd relate. it's a great story and it has a lot of truth to it. I suggest listening to it.

Funny and entertaining

Really good and funny book, the way the reader reads it captures you and I could almost visualize it all.

I enjoyed the story.

I enjoyed the story as well as the performance. Even as a man I found parts I could relate to.

Hilarious

I love this book so much , it was a fun book to listen to on the bus and at work. The characters were exciting and funny and being single it certainly made sense the craziness of not being able to find the one. It was weird to see parts of myself in each character and realizing that I need to really let go.

So I decided to read the book before I saw the movie... I wanna see how that goes. I liked it. not what I expected but I enjoyed it.

What did you love best about How to Be Single?

I really liked all the places/settings. It kept the book interesting.

What other book might you compare How to Be Single to and why?

Eat Pray Love--I haven't read it, but it's similar in the sense that this girl is traveling around the world to really find herself. It's a nice concept and didn't feel too played out.

Which scene was your favorite?

I can't think of any particular ones off the top of my head, but there was some really quick and sharp humor (like off handed remarks) that were just really funny. This narrator did an awesome job capturing all of the accents from around the world and grasping the true personality of each character.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, I probably could've. I just wish it wasn't abridged.

Any additional comments?

I wish the unabridged version was on Audible. This version seemed rushed and not every sequence of events added up. I would probably want to read the book version of this to get the spots I feel are missing.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I can't say this had any redeeming qualities. Predictable, cliched characters and an implausible plot seemed to doom it from the start. I am all for a dose of heady unreality in chick lot, but this was just a waste of time.

Would you ever listen to anything by Liz Tuccillo again?

No, absolutely not.

Did Judy Greer do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

With all the accents the poor reader had to do, I feel whatever fee received for reading this tripe was well deserved.

Ugh....must I finish this?
