Do you dream of starting your own business but don’t have any money? What if you could set up a venture with nothing but a good business idea and the determination to make it work?

It’s an appealing idea, particularly in the current economic climate where no one has cash to spare and austerity rules the day. In fact, studies show that more people start businesses during recessions than at any other time. The good news is that it can be done, provided you follow a few golden rules.

Based on Rachel Bridge's popular workshops, this book will help set you on the way to success.

As the former Enterprise Editor for the Sunday Times, Rachel has interviewed hundreds of successful entrepreneurs. Join her on her journey as she starts up her very own enterprise, entrepreneurthings.com, and covers all the ups and downs she encounters, while giving examples along the way of how real-life entrepreneurs have coped with the same problems that beset everyone in business at some point.

What did you love best about How To Start A Business Without Any Money?

This book provides some great real tips for starting a business on the cheap. Even if the suggested tips and resources don't meet your needs, the book helps create a mindset of making things work. Entrepreneurs cannot take no for an answer, and this is a great mindset to adopt early and well. The author also does what many entrepreneur authors have not done, which is start and describe a business as they write - applying the things they teach. I loved hearing about her business and seeing the ways she applied her concepts to her idea. It kept them relatable and realistic.

Often entrepreneur books will focus largely on the why, they leave me feeling amped with motivation and inspiration to tackle the world but I haven't the clue where to start. This book left me inspired as well but it did so by showing me that I truly don't have to risk my entire life by trying entrepreneurship and that I can attempt my ideas with creative low cost solutions.

I also loved the point the author makes that if you fail, you will be alright. It helped me realize that even the logically I am not risking much I need to attack my personal fear of failure and learn to embrace it. She also highlights that even if you find starting and running a business is not for you, the experience leaves you better armed to be a unique and valuable instrument to an existing business. This is one example of how the author inspires in a very practical way.

Do yourself a favor, and pickup this title. It is time and money well spent!
