Holly is hospitalized and unable to offer even a clue. The Black Sheep suspect a mysterious drifter who had talked his way into a few days of wages, and just as quickly, disappeared. Or was it their estranged stepbrother, Toby, full of family grievances and eager to make a claim on the estate? Or, heaven forbid...was it Rose? Hovering over all these questions like an ominous shadow is a dark secret from the sisters' past.

While it seems everything is unraveling, the knitters will need to keep their wits as sharp as their needles to prove Rose's innocence and stop a killer from striking again.

My thoughts on hounds of the basket stitch

Hound of the basket stitch was a goodbook. It had a lot of different facets and I did not figure out the mystery which is a plus. Very well written with good developed characters and great dialogue. I love the way it detailed each dogs personality and described what they looked like. As far as the narrator it was hard to understand that some of the characters were supposed to be young women so that was not so great but other than that it was a good book and I loved the way they detailed roses disabilities and made her seem strong rather than a week in competent character.
To be honest as far as the mystery plot when they brought up the character who actually committed the murder I almost forgot who that person was so some of the characters were not developed completely. The mystery made sense but you had to really think about it. I feel like somethings should’ve been developed a little bit more. I would recommend this book to people who love to knit people who Love dogsand people who love mysteries.
