Publisher's Summary

In great cities of the world, humanity congregates, and commerce, culture, and cosmopolitan sophistication blossom in their gardens. But in the shadows that lie beyond the broad boulevards and glare of electric lights, great cities give birth to something else. In these shadows thrives a dim underworld, peopled by nefarious characters brought together from every godforsaken corner of the globe. And in this urban darkness the polyglot horde carries out unspeakable abominations unfit for the light of day. Can a lone policeman make a stand for decency against the godless denizens of New York’s most loathsome slum, or will he find himself consumed by the filth and depravity of nameless cults?

I Loved It!!!

I love every episode DART does and this one is no different. Each episode is something a little different in its own way. Instead of horrors in remote places and ancient buildings, this story is urban. It shows that Lovecraft's monsters can exist anywhere! A very cool story and another great production.

Creepy tale, but not well aged

What did i like best about this story?

The atmosphere was great and it stayed constant throughout.

What did i enjoy least?

Racism is not a solid foundation for a narrative. This is one of Lovecraft's most Racially charged tales. You need to read this constantly being aware that Lovecraft is a product of his age.

How was the Narration?

Exceptional. The HP Lovecraft historical society are consistently the best among horror narrators on Audible.
