Publisher's Summary

God’s plans for three women - and the small town of Hope Springs - may be bigger than anyone could have imagined.

Janelle Evans hasn’t gone back to Hope Springs for family reunions since losing her husband. But when she arrives for Christmas and learns that her grandmother is gravely ill, she decides to extend the stay. It isn’t long before she runs into her first love, and feelings that have been dormant for more than a decade are reawakened.

Becca Anderson is finally on the trajectory she’s longed for. Having been in the ministry trenches for years, she’s been recruited as the newest speaker of a large Christian women’s conference. But her husband feels called to become the pastor of his late father’s church in Hope Springs. Will small-town living affect her big ministry dreams?

Stephanie London is married to a doctor in St. Louis and living an ideal life. When her cousin Janelle volunteers to stay in Hope Springs and care for their grandmother, she feels compelled to do the same. It’s a decision that will forever change her.

As these women come together, they soon recognize that healing is needed in their hearts, their families, and their churches that have long been divided along racial lines. God’s plan for them in Hope Springs - and for Hope Springs itself - is bigger than they ever imagined.

“Kim Cash Tate draws us into a world where the dreams, desires, missteps, and matters of the heart we discover mirror our own. She is a master at crafting characters who make you forget you’re reading fiction. By the end of Hope Springs, you’ll feel as if you’re cheering on members of your extended family.” (Stacy Hawkins Adams, best-selling author of Coming Home and The Someday List)

Great Reminder

Although, personally, I was not impressed with the narrator (though I’m sure she’s a better candidate than myself), I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. It brought back memories of gatherings at your grandmother’s, going to her church, and family dynamics (even when it’s not pretty). To me, the author did a phenomenal job sharing the different facets of Christianity (being challenged in our faith at times, but counting on scriptures for the vast promises of God; Christian walks at different maturity levels; the power of prayer and humbling one’s self). I would recommend this book to others...can’t wait what my Book Club Ladies have to say about this one...

Awesome book

Loved the characters. The reader voice was way different from the reader in Faithful and Cherished, that it took a while to adjust to it. But she also did a good job.

Wonderful & relatable

I really enjoyed listening to Hope Springs, I was so captivated by the story that I listened to it in one sitting. I laughed, I cried, and experienced an array of emotions while reading. Being from a small southern town, I appreciated the back drop being a place that I could relate to, a place so small that before you get home, everyone knows something lol.

The torn relationship between Grandma Geri and her daughter Gwen was handled very well, I semi-expected it to be an unrealistic ending but I'm so glad Kim ended it the way she did as it's much more relatable/realistic, especially with the amount of hurt Gwen experienced at the hand of her parents and the Andersons. Janelle and Sarah Anne were the characters I liked the most, their stories were written beautifully and I was cheering on Sarah Ann and how she stepped into leading/facilitating the women's bible study at the diner and was amen'ing with her at the end when she reminded everybody who the Church actually belongs to!

Will definitely be pre-ordering Kim's other upcoming books on audible.
