Hook Shot

I have read a couple of Kennedy Ryan's books, and the Grip series has been my favorite so far, and it still is my favorite. However, I had a few friends tell me that I needed to read Hook Shot, and I'm glad I did. As one reader said, it was sublime. I loved the transparency between Kenan and Lotus. It was beautiful the way they decided to be vulnerable with each other. Actually, I loved everything about this couple. The love notes with verses from the Song of Solomon was FIRE! The scene with -- Oh, I can't tell you the scene because it would be a spoiler, but I will say it made me go and read Psalm 35.

I enjoyed the book so much that I wish they were real and that they were my friends. I'm sure the narrators made me feel this way. Speaking of the narration, it was excellent! As I write this, there is more I want to say, so I will. LOL. The visual I had of the gallery scene is one I could go on and on about. The narrators definitely capture the intensity between Kenan and Chase. The hospital scene, the scenes at Lotus's grandmother's house, and the scene where Lotus had to make an important decision about her and Kenan's relationship were also times I felt the narrators were able to place me in the mind of the characters and allow me to feel their emotions.

Good story, great narration

This was a very well told story of two people in need of understanding and intimate connection. Also, the narrator’s, especially Jacobi Diem, were excellent.

This story gives!! It delivers everything a romance story should. Loved it. The story’s truly captivating!

Amazing Read/Listen

Loved the way Kennedy Ryan writes a love story. She take you through a roller coaster of emotions but I always love a beautiful ending!!
