Practical, helpful guidelines for a great marriage. Didn't disagree with anything. Not all of these things are easy to do but if you work on them, your marriage will be the best it can be.

Great book.

Great writing. Great reading. Author used examples that made concepts easy to understand. I finished it in 3 days. I learnt that it takes more than just saying 'I am committed to you' to make a marriage work. I am more enlightened about marriage as I prepare for mine.

It's so real

I loved this book. There's information in it that I knew already but things I never thought of regarding communication styles, pre-marriage expectations, what goes unsaid, attraction, what we bring into a marriage, and finding unmet needs in others. What starts off as innocent can quickly turn into something more given certain circumstances. Stepping outside of the marriage is something so common these days but it doesn't have to be. Meeting our spouse's needs is intentional and shouldn't be taken for granted.. What was nice to read was how marriages can recover, be healed and made whole. This is a must read for all those who are married and plan to get married.

really enjoyed all the principles taught. great tools to strengthen a marriage. would've liked a version without all the affair talk for good marriages to become great instead of bad marriages to become good. but still highly recommend.

The ideas were a little outdated..narrator was monotone. Seemed to have a slant towards mens needs and traditional roles but he gave in depth useful marriage information and great tips on identifying each other's needs, pouring into each other and communication
