Story
As a motorcycle dispatch rider in London during World War II, Maggie Cameron faced her share of dangerous situations. Yet none filled her with as much dread as the thought of moving to America to join her GI husband, John MacPhee, after having been separated for six months. Life in the orderly MacPhee household has been completely upended since John’s return from the war. His father’s sudden injury puts John in charge at work and at home, leaving little time for battle scars to heal. Will Maggie forgive him for dragging her away from the country she loves and into his chaotic life?

I did enjoy the story. Clean historical war time romance. The story left you hanging at the end. The feeling of more was left once the story ended.

Excellent narration brings story to life
This highly recommended historical romantic novel (Normandy: June 1944) is brought to life with excellent narration by Rebecca Fine ( featuring multiple languages and multiple voices). This is the second book in the “Lilac Historical Romance” trilogy and am looking forward to listening to the other novels in the trilogy: “His Scottish War Bride” and “A Lilac Christmas”.

Fantastic WWII Romance
I thoroughly enjoyed this story! It's very well written and has a level of excitement to it that made it a really quick read. It's a clean book free of language and sex scenes. There is some violence which is to be expected due to the time period but it is not overdone or too graphic.. The narration is top notch, I loved all the accents and the acting was wonderfully done. My only complaint is that I felt the story ended a bit abruptly and could have continued farther... maybe I am just hoping there is going to be a book two.

A Love story so worth listening to!
In June 1944 “Christine or net“ is working with the American civil defense after the liberation of France. When they find out she really isn’t there to attend a wedding Lieutenant harry Dean is ordered to find out who is she and why did she come to the countryside in France? Is she a spy or does she really work for the resistance? Harry Dean no to put duty before any relationship, but the more he is around“Miss.Arnette” the harder he is finding to do that. She has been working hard for the resistance and waiting on word about her father, but she too cannot deny the feeling between her and Lieutenant Dean. This is one of the best Novelas I have bread in a while. Even though the book is short only two hours long that was a lot to keep your attention and I could totally see this being a novel. The romance was authentic the narrator was awesome and so I think this is the perfect audiobook for any quick lesson. If you like contemporary romance or historical romance I think Pam Ferguson does a great job with either or. I highly recommend this book! Please forgive any grammatical or punctuational errors as I am blind is dictate my reviews but all opinions are my own.

China, 1937: When Japanese bombs begin falling on the city of Nanking, 19-year-old Hu Lian and her classmates at Minghua University are ordered to flee. Lian and a convoy of more than 100 students, faculty, and staff must walk 1,000 miles to the safety of China’s western provinces, a journey marred by hunger, cold, and the constant threat of aerial attack. And it is not just the student refugees who are at risk: Lian and her classmates have been entrusted with a priceless treasure, a 500-year-old collection of myths and folklore known as the Library of Legends.
