Basic intro

This has the most basic of information so if you know nothing of Hinduism then it is probably better for you but I personally was looking for something with more in depth coverage.

Brief overview with flaws

The book is a very brief overview of Hinduism.  The author know her subject matter well. She also know how to recommend and self promote her other titles which detracts from the presentation. In my opinion the author would be well served by having a professional read.

Great Beginner's Guide

This book is great for those who are just dipping their toes in the waters of Hinduism - or considering it. It's a short read but full of information covering all the basics. I liked this because in the end, I had enough knowledge to decide if I want to learn more and keep reading about Hinduism, or if based on the information in the book, it wasn't for me and I needed to continue on with my search elsewhere. There were a few times I tuned out,(there's not a whole lot of inflection by the narrator) and there were a few times I wished the narrator would say certain words slower or even spell them out and that's why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. Overall, I'm glad I chose this book and am thankful to writer for putting this out in the world for us to explore.

I really enjoyed the way she explained Everything. I have had the opportunity to read and listen to several books similar to this and this is my favorite.

felt more like a travel guide

it was an ok book, however at times it felt more like a travel guide to India than the religion. the author also plugged her other works too often within this book, almost every other chapter you are told about a different book of hers that gos into deeper understanding.
