Imaginative

The idea of this series is so imaginative I love it, but her style of writing can be really repetitive. Like using “I chuckled” or “he chuckled “ over and over again. Or repeatedly talking about the raven coming to Gruoch, I just found at times it was overused and contrived. Also, I hate when American writers don’t know the correct words for things when they write books that take place in Britain, pants means underwear there. Lastly, the narrator is great, but should have learned the correct pronunciation of Samhain. Otherwise I found the book enjoyable and will listen to the next.

Entertaining and Emotional Read

This one was packed with so much! Gruoch goes through so much and is tested in many ways. Every time I get into this series, I truly feel like I’m taken back in time. I went through many emotions throughout the book. Even shouting at some parts. Yes I am nerd for doing so but my fellow bookworms will and can relate! The narrator’s voice is lovely and brings this story to life. Lesley Parkin’s voice is melodic and is one of my fave narrators! I can’t wait to start the next! This fast became one of my favorite series!

Vengeance

I loved listening to Lesley Parker as she had one of the perfect accents and soothing voices to tell this story. The third book is wonderful and full of action. Melanie Karsak has a great talent in telling the story of one woman her belief and the injustice throughout her life. But such was the times. She takes matters into her own hands and starts shaping it the way she wants. I love the story and am excited to hear the last part of the story in Book 4.

Grabbed my attention and held it to the end.

Wonderful read, amazing characters, I was totally engrossed. what do some things differently wished she would have stood up for herself long before this and wasn’t so naïve and blinded for so long to some things...without giving too much away. Definitely love this love story between the heroin and her druid.

Scottish, Mists of Avalon

I can't get enough of this story. Not since Marion Zimmer Bradley, with The Mists of Avalon, have I been so completely engrossed.

Doesn't work on I-pod

Have the first two book in the series they play perfectly fine, as do other books I've downloaded. This one will not play. Have downloaded it several times. only receive clicks and silence.

A fabulous story, whether you read it or listen to it!

This third book in the Celtic Blood series, retelling the story of Lady Macbeth, is even more dramatic than the first two, and an excellent read. Other than saying we see Corbie become Lady Macbeth in this book, I'm not going into any more detail about the plot - you can get an idea from the book description and I HATE spoilers!! - but if you've read the first two books in the series you definitely won't want to miss this one... And with its cliffhanger ending, I'm certainly dying to read the next instalment asap! And if you've not started the series yet, why not give book 1 a try - it's not a stuffy Shakespeare story! I've also now listened to the audiobook of the story, again excellently narrated by Leslie Parkin, and can honestly say it really brings it to life. If you can, I highly recommend listening to the audiobook - you won't regret it!
