Excellent Mystery Romance

I enjoyed book one in the Otter Creek Series. Book two is about another one of the triplets sisters, Madison. These poor girls always seem to be in danger and trying to play down the signs of danger until things get quite ugly.

Narration was excellent and brought the story to life.

Ex-Cop Nick has been searching for his partner’s killer for a couple of years. Madison was Married to Nick’s partner. Nick has kept in touch with Madison and after an attempt in his life he decides to go make sure Madison is safe.

I was pleased to see Ethan Blackhawk, police chief, working together with Nick to try to solve the mystery behind his partner’s death. Madison starts getting dead roses again and suddenly her car breaks down.

I enjoyed the twists and turns. This is an excellent book for Christian readers. Nick’s testimony was very touching.

I’m looking forward to the next book. I’m glad there are no cliffhangers.

Love

This is a great book. It’s refreshing to find a great story without all the cursing and sex scenes. A good author does not have to rely on such gimmicks. The story was good. It really kept my attention. The narrator did a good job.

Suspenseful!

Kristina Fuller Yuen did an excellent job narrating the male and female roles. I thought that there were 2 narrators!

Mystery & Romance = Fast Enjoyable Read

Would you listen to Hidden Target again? Why?

I would listen again, I enjoyed this one a bit more then the first book. This author does a great job with building up the suspense. The romance was tastefully done and fun to watch unfold.

What did you like best about this story?

The narrator did a wonderful job with the voices and acting throughout the book. I also love that this author has a Christian style to her writing and keeps it clean of sex, language and overly graphic descriptions.

Not a bad follow up

What made the experience of listening to Hidden Target the most enjoyable?

This book was pretty good. I'm glad Maddie was more out going in the second Otter Creek series than the first. I was worried her story would be terribly sad and while her history is sad the drama in her life kept me listening. Her "love story: with Nick was a little far fetched for me but enjoyable. I did figure out "who done it" before it was reveled but not so early on that the book was ruined. I will definitely check out the next book in the Otter Creek series. I received this book for free for an honest review.

Hidden Target

Hidden Target is good enough but...

This is the second book in the Otter Creek series of the Cahill triplets. I had high hopes for this book since I had listened to the first and enjoyed it.

Hidden Target has plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing until the end. With that said, in the middle, it kind of meandered about the small town losing some of its pull.

Overall, Hidden Target is a well-written. I like the that it is clean, not overly religious and yet, has a message.

Narration by Kristina Fuller Yuen was only okay in this book. She does excellent female voices, but I found her male voices somewhat distracting from the story, especially Nicks.

Revenge is never the answer, or is it?

We met Maddie in Witness, one of the Cahill triplets. Maddie lost her husband & unborn son in the car accident that almost killed her. Now, 2yrs later, Maddie is finally starting to move on with her life when her husband’s former partner, Nick Santana, shows up. A dangerous man from the past is out of prison and is possibly stalking Maddie. Can Nick and police chief, Ethan Blackhawk, find the stalker before it’s too late? Or, is Nick the stalker, since the evidence is piling up against him? While the story was engaging, I didn’t feel the chemistry between Maddie and Nick. It was still a good story and worth the read. We catch up with the rest of the Cahill clan as well.

Excellent

I love this author and this story. The suspense, family dynamics, and romance are well told and so enjoyable. I have read the book previously. This audible presentation is excellent. Very smooth and expressive audio.

Madison's story.

Book two of the Otter Creek series focuses on Madison Ryder (née Cahill). Still grieving over the death of her husband and son in a car wreck that she is still recovering from the last thing she needs is the return of her stalker. The only good thing that comes out of it is the return of her late husbands partner and family friend Nick Santana.

Nick who has been in love with Madison for years after surviving bring shot knows that she could be next in the gunmans sight, so he journeys to Otter Creek determined to protect her and maybe, just maybe convince her to move on, with him.

When he gets too close and is framed for murder he will need all the help he can get from Ethan and the Cahill family, as it becomes clear that he may be the primary target not Madison after all.

I really enjoyed this murder mystery full of favourite characters that I met and fell in love with in the first book with the welcome addition of one very hot ex cop. Welcome to the Otter Creek family Nick.

Great series

An exciting and suspense filled romantic suspense.
The narration was very good and it was very easy to get absorbed in the story.
The identity of the stalker had me completely mystified and I really enjoyed the process of following the characters as they tried to solve the crime.
The romance was sweet and I enjoyed their story. I thought that their story was realistic and handled very sensitively. I really liked it.

Can't wait for the rest of the Otter Creek series

Rebecca Deel is an outstanding author. I hope Audible release the rest of the OTTER CREEK series soon and AT THE SAME TIME release the companion series FORTRESS SECURITY.
