Action Packed!

This is book 6 in the Sentinel Security Series, a Romantic Suspense. This series is interconnected with other Anna Hackett's security series (Norcross Security Series and Team 52 Series). I love this series! Jet and Cain/Shade's story is fast-paced, full of action, and twists and turns. Jet is beautiful, strong, smart, and determined. Shade is handsome, enigmatic, and protective. I liked the brotherhood in the story. Stella Bloom and Teddy Hamilton did an excellent job bringing this story to life. This is a great team author/narrators. I enjoyed it, and I highly recommend this series.

Hot! Hot! Hot!

Hex and Shade…I’ve been waiting since they first started flirting with each other! Hex is smart and beautiful and down to earth. Shade is a badass with no time for love until Hex stops him in his tracks. I love their dynamic and love for each other. I wish there were more of this team. I hate to see them go!

Smart and sexy espionage!

Anna Hackett continues to bring the heat with Hex and Shade’s story. Although they’ve worked together before, it takes time, patience and courage for them to reveal their attraction a to each other. Both have their reservations, flaws, and secrets but decide to take a leap of faith and embrace a relationship with one another. Hex is extremely intelligent, quirky and a little insecure because of her past relationship experiences. Whereas, Shade is incredibly intimidating, alpha male, a bit jealous and also extremely intelligent. Together they form an amazing team that uses creative thinking skills to solve problems. Stella Bloom and Teddy Hamilton are fantastic narrators whose performances deliver awesome commentary. Looking forward to hearing more from this author.

Worth the Wait

Hex and Shade have been dancing around each
other for a few books now. These two finally have to work in close quarters for a time sensitive mission, and sparks fly.

Amazing chemistry, some angst, lots of action, and a satisfying ending. Great read as always with Anna Hackett.

Exciting and fast-paced!

As the story opens, Hex is the final single member of the Sentinel Security team. She has watched all of her fellow team members meet their significant others and fall in love. Truthfully, she is happy for them, but kind of jealous as well. She has had a few run-ins with Shade, a CIA operative that is one of the best in the business. Unfortunately, Shade lives for the job, and has chosen to stay unencumbered. Thus, Hex believes she can look but not touch. She is wary of getting burned. However, Shade needs her help on a mission, and in usual Anna Hackett style, the mission becomes the mechanism for these two to get to know each other really well, and to discover that their strengths complement each other beautifully. Hex is a computer wizard, and her team really respects her skills and is very protective of her. Shade is a loner. He’s extremely good at his job but works alone for the most part. During this story, he discovers what it means to be part of a team, and he grows to like that feeling.

This story is exciting and fast-paced. Things happen regularly that ratchet up the tension. Hex uses her innate intelligence to get out of tough situations, and Shade uses his street smarts to do the same. The team is ever-present and comes when called. There are guns, explosions, attacks, and a kidnapping to navigate, plus an exciting finish to the story that is quite explosive! This may be the final story in this Sentinel Security series, but there are still some unattached peripheral characters that could potentially get their own stories… Time will tell.

The narrators do a fantastic job of creating memorable characters through their voices. Stella Bloom and Teddy Hamilton are veteran audiobook narrators with a slew of different books having been recorded using their skilled voices. Because they are so good at what they do, it is easy for listeners to just listen to the story as it is brought to life by these narrators. Other than the file having a mistake in chapter 2 that is being corrected (the ending of the book shows up in chapter two, before chapter three), the recording is excellent. The correct file has been uploaded to Audible, but it hasn't been replaced yet. Regardless, there are no mouth noises or obvious slipups within the scope of the recording. This is an exciting story!

OMGOSH I love it !

This and Steel are my 2 favorites in this series ! I may like this one a tad more ! Well Cain is just awesome and you have to love Hex ! I love this because it didn't have the usual ( I can't get over my past crap) it was just a very enjoyable story with some action and love .. This is totally worth a credit.

Waiting for Hex and Shade/Kane was worth it. Well told and well narrated. Totally recommend thus audible!

Recommended

At last, I've been waiting for Hex's story. She is so cool and makes a perfect match with Shade. The basis for the story was good & seeing Hex 'in the field' interesting. The narration was spot on again.

Very entertaining characters and performance

This book moves at a fast pace with plenty of suspense and action. The characters in this book and series are so entertaining! The romance is way too steamy for my likes, but I can skip those parts. The performance is really good.
