Great emotional read!!

I enjoyed listening to Her Second Chance Best Friend Rockstar. This is an emotional read about Gareth, Indie, and her sister Isabella, Indie and Gareth were childhood best friends, but Indie always wanted it to be more. He was with Isabella, Indie's sister, so he was off limits. Wnen Indie left her boyfriend she needed some girl time so her friend surprised her by taking her to a concert, which that is where she meets Gareth again, he is the lead singer rockstar. Couldn't stop reading this audiobook. Highly recommend.

More than just friends!

Indie Bresley has been gone from Baton Rouge for 8 years. In that time she's earned a vet degree, had a baby girl and is now coming home to find some balance in her life. Her best friend since childhood, Gareth Burton, has been on the road for what seems like forever with his world famous band, November Talks,  but is coming home for the final leg of their concert tour. Even though Gareth and Indie were best friends, Gareth left town without a word to Indie. Now he's back and, sitting out among the fans at the November Talks concert, she can't help but go back to those heady days when nothing came between them. Nothing, that is, except her sister, Isabella. But, now, Gareth is so excited to see her in the audience that he chases right after her without giving a second thought to the fact that he was singing! They have a wonderful reunion and catch up on all that has happened in the 8 years they've been apart. Indie's daughter, Kaley, is a sweet little girl, an old soul, and Gareth adores her immediately. But there's a long standing feud between the sisters that somehow involves Gareth. If he should even think of calling Indie, Isabella demands that she hang up. And she won't let Indie even think of rekindling their friendship. This is the grand canyon of a family divided. What Indie doesn't know is the terrible secret that Isabella and Gareth share, something that hasn't yet been resolved. But it went on way too long and I was beginning to get frustrated and disgusted with both of the sisters. Talk it out! Get a grip on the present! A horrible situation, but I had a hard time feeling for them because I just couldn't connect with their relationship. It felt false until Isabella opened her heart. The ending was rushed a little too much but it was a wonderful HEA. Kieran Flitton does a superb job with the narration. His voice is well-modulated and full of energy. He brings each character to life and gives them a voice that reflects their attitudes and personality.  

Did not like.

This was the longest 4 hrs of my day. I really wanted not to finish it but I stuck in out. The main h Indy, I think her and her sister were out of their minds. Always foing back and forth on to forgive or not to forgive. And very disappointed that this was a romance and only 1 kiss at very end of story. And no sex at all. Very disappointed.
