not worth it, struggling through the whole time. wouldn't buy again. I could hardly finish

Terrible narration

The writing is good, story passable. The narration is just awful. I could not listen to it at all. It was laughable. At first, I thought it was just supposed to be funny and after establishing characters it would settle down but it just got worse.

Mundane

The woman reading the book did a fairly good job with the different voices that actually kept me engaged.
but they were almost too many characters to keep track of. and not a ton of deep character development. Also the vague mentions of San Francisco just kept me hoping for some historical factual setting of some of the crimes.
I wanted to learn more about Olivia and Emily
I wanted the conversations in the nursing home to be a little bit deeper.
