Publisher's summary

Natalie Montgomery wants a new life. While she may be rich, her life is empty. Her parents were never around, too rich and important to be bothered with a child. And when they present her with a emotionless fiancé, she’s done. As a volunteer for the Interstellar Bride Program, she is thrilled to arrive on the hot, desert planet of Trion, and in the arms of a seductive warrior who makes her body burn.

Roark of Trion is not eager for a mate. Danger and the constant threat of war dog his steps. But one look at his new bride, and his mind is changed. Natalie is everything he ever wanted in a woman…so soft, so passionate, so submissive to his every need. An attack on their outpost leaves Roark fighting for his life. For her protection, Natalie is transported back to Earth. Roark thinks she’s dead. But she’s very much alive and so is his newborn son. Natalie’s anger and regret grows with each passing day her mate does not keep his promise to come for her. By the time he discovers his mistake, it may be too late to win back her heart.

Boring

I could not get into this book. I tried to give it a chance since I’ve read the good reviews. Boring from start to finish.

One of the Best of the Series

I think the story plot is one the best in this series. I felt the characters were flushed out pretty well. The plot was much more meaty then some of the other books in this series. The steamy scenes did not take over the story. I felt the actors did over do some of the scenes, but over all did a decent job in the delivery.

Aww a sweet baby arrives

This one was a bit different from the rest of the series. Danger, action and a babies arrival. Enjoyed it. Narration was great.

DNF

The heroine is supposed to come from money and have been educated both academically and socially. However, she has no problems taking her parents' money, even as an adult, rather than getting a job (which is totally unrealistic if you are born into money you usually have a high-flying career you are ushered into) and making her own destiny and her parents are both absent and obsessed with her simultaneously. But that pretty much sums up the whole book, nothing makes sense. Natalie is supposed to be Miss Manners but has no qualms at all about giving away her $30,000 engagement ring without telling her fiancé she is leaving him to marry an alien stranger (BTW $30,0000 is a cheap engagement ring if you are a hedge fund bro). So she marries this guy but then ends up back on Earth with a half-alien child and the hedge fund bro that she left at the alter is still hanging around? She still doesn't have a job but takes her parents' money happily even though she complains about them. Then there were the mistakes, Natalie is supposed to be living in a multi-million dollar house, and she has staff, but she does the laundry herself, she has no security and sleeps with a gun in her bedside table and forgets she has a private jet and needs to be reminded by the nanny. That is when I couldn't listen anymore. What really bothered me was Natalie's lack of agency. At no point did she say, "I am going to go out and get a job." Instead, she was going to marry this terrible hedge fund dude her parents found for her, and instead of having the guts to leave him or make her own destiny she went to the Interstellar Brides so that she could let someone else make her decisions for her... she is one of these women that would rather have no responsibility in her life so that she can blame others when it goes wrong and throughout the book, this is exactly what Natalie does. I don't know Grace Goodwin is usually okay but this time it was so far off the mark I felt bad for the narrators.

Reunited And It Deels so Good

A beautiful romance about an alien desperate to get back to his mate. He escapes from captivity and thinks she is dead. Meanwhile she is back on Earth having his baby thinking he’s dead also. It takes their son to alert him that she is alive and where she is. He moved across galaxies for her! Sigh!

Beautiful story

I really enjoyed this book. I loved how it was more story then sex. sex is always good but a overload is too much, and sometimes I find these books to be a overload of sex and a story that moved too quickly. but this book went at a good pace and great story and the right amount of sex.

Missed opportunity

Too short and underdeveloped. This one could have been the beginning of its own shoot off series if it was better written and blanks filled in.

Per usual, BJ shouldn’t be in this business. While these aliens were shorter, they still wouldn’t have that high, nasal voice. It kills the vibe when a character is described as as having a deep, commanding voice…then BJ Pottsworth’s nasal, American whine comes on in the role.

Another great story

I love these stories and this is a great one, full of drama and epic love with great narration. Don’t worry about reading them out of sequence.

insta love at its best

I'm becoming addicted to these stories. I love how Natalie finally got the family and love she deserved.
I'm not sure if I've listened to these books in the right order and I've certainly not listened to all of them yet but I do hope we get Warden Agarahs (probably not spelt correctly) story. After her devastating loss she still sends brides off with the knowing they'll find what she's lost. she's the first woman to offer assistance and will put herself in danger to help those who need it.she's level headed, works well under pressure and kind, not only does she deserve mates who worship her completely, she deserves a crown.

Classic Grace Goodwin

Grace Goodwin is one of my non so secret pleasures but I can easily devour her books in one sitting curled up in a chair

The audio version of the same books forces you to slow down and listen to the story. There are no under lying plot or story that you miss because you read it in one sitting, but it certainly lasts longer

The narration is ok but not a standout performance, and certainly not difficult to stay with the book to the end.

Off now to grab another so I can spend time relaxing, listening to another Grace Goodwin while doing as little as possible

Excellent

Another triumphant book in the Interstellar Brides series which tells the story of Natalie Montgomery who is sick and tired of the empty shell of her life and wants a man who will love and appreciate her. Enter Roark of Trion who is not eager for a mate. Danger and the constant threat of war dog his steps. But one look at his new bride, and his mind is changed. They have one amazing night together and then all hell breaks loose when their camp is attacked. When it is all over Roark is a prisoner and Natalie is back on Earth alone. By the time Roark realises Natalie is very much alive on Earth it may be too late to get her back and he's in for the surprise of his life when he does catch up with her and his son and just to finish things off there is danger too close as well.
