Publisher's Summary

She never meant to sell her soul...least of all to Lucifer.

The devil has taken her sister. Now she's going to bring her back.

Luckily, she's not alone:

An angel with a dark past.

A wolf with anger issues.

A hellhound who's actually quite cuddly.

Yes, this is a journey into hell. Grab your tissues and snacks, for this will be a roller coaster into darkness.

A reverse harem based on Dante's Inferno, but with a kickass heroine instead of a lovesick old poet.

How far would you go to save your sister?

Demons, angels and rings of Hell! A great spin on Dante’s Inferno which was one of my favorite books, Hell’s Calling is an incredible journey of how far Ciera will go to save her sister. Along the way she picks up 3 amazing men to help her, Mario, Ceb and Plutus. I was sucked in from the very beginning listening to the entire book in one afternoon. Now I Can’t wait listen to the next book to see how this foursome develops and what will happen next.
Hiral Varsani is a new narrator to me. I thought she was fantastic! She portrayed Ciera perfectly do mg an excellent job of bringing her kickass nature to life. I will also be looking for more of her work

Exciting slow burn

I was hooked from the beginning. It was an exciting read. I love both of these authors so I was excited for them to write together, I was not disappointed. The world and characters they created are fantastic, I can't wait for the next book.

I love how Hiral Varsani brought these characters to life. She delivered their emotions fantastically.

Fantastic Story!

This is the first book in the Infernal Descent Series, a retelling of Dante's Inferno. This story is a gem. You have to listen to it. The storyline is intriguing, suspenseful, captivating. Ciera, Maro, Ceb, and Plutus's story is wonderful. Their quest is breathtaken. The story ends with a cliffhanger, and now I can't wait for the next book in the Series, Hell's Weeping, and after that, Hell's Burning. Hiral Varsani has a so beautiful voice! She has also a great pace and she has done a great interpretation. All voices are easy to distinguish. Great story

Great story that takes a classic tale and gives it a new twist. The main character seems II have everything stacked against her, but refuses to give up and is determined to save her sister no matter what.

Enjoyed

Listened to this book all in one setting, I found it funny, and very cute. My only problem was that it ended with a cliffhanger and I hate that, lol!

A nice short story!

I enjoyed this story. The characters are strong and you get a good feel for who they are and what the stand for. I can't wait to see what happens next. The narrator does a good job telling this story. She's just a bit fast in some places.

A fun and unique PNR.

This was a fun and unique short story. I struggled a bit with the narrator but once I reduced the speed to 90% I was able to enjoy it better. Since this book ended on a cliffhanger I'm eager to see what happens in book 2!

Surprisingly good short story

I dont normally enjoy the shorter books because they tend to be rushed, but this wasn't at all it was well written and moved at a good pace, I thought the narrator did a great job as well, I would recommend this book dont be put off by the length it is really good. Audiobook obsessions reviewer 🎧

Excellent world-building

Hell's Calling is a fantastic collaboration by Bea Paige and Skye MacKinnon. Hell's Calling is an entertaining reverse harem fantasy adventure, it's fast-paced, action-packed, loaded with twists and turns. The world-building is incredible; the plot and characters are both well-developed. I would've like to see stronger built for the relationships and the connections. The characters are wonderful, and I enjoyed their interaction and dialogue exchange.

The narration by Hiral Varsani is smooth with a natural flow. She has a pleasant voice and easy to follow. Overall this was an enjoyable listen, and I look forward to the next book in the series.

Pretty good

This was pretty good. I would have liked a little more world set up to see where we were starting from. Anyway, the narrator did a good job.

Slow Burn Reverse Harem

Hell’s Calling by Bea Paige and Skye MacKinnon is a supernatural reverse harem that I listened to on audio narrated by Hiral Varsani.

This is the first book in the Infernal Descent series and it does end on a cliffhanger. I enjoyed the slow burn reverse harem aspect of the story. I look forward to listening to the second book in the series Hell’s Weeping.

Hiral did a great job on the narration. I can’t wait to listen to more of her projects in the future.

2.75 STARS, calling for help

This book is for you if… fast burn reverse-harem erotica is your thing? [she asks questioningly]

⤐ Overall.
Yes, I was fully aware of what I was getting myself into. But I still wasn't prepared. I just read some of the reviews for this book and I am utterly confused. I did not really enjoy this audiobook. The narration wasn't the issue and neither was the overall plot. I wouldn't even say reverse-harem stuff isn't my style. The thing I was irritated with first and foremost is this fast-burn thing, where the heroine sorta falls for 3 guys while actually searching for her sister -in hell. I mean, isn't that kinda the more urgent problem?

Interesting characters and very good world(-building). I loved the universe this was taking place in! The way Skye put together the world in Hell's Calling was excellent. I really wished I liked this more first and foremost so I could spend more time in this universe with those interesting characters. The take on angels vs. demons was unusual and tempting.

The arch of suspense. [she asks for hopefully] I suppose it could have been decent, hadn't it been for this weird trope where the fMC literally wants to get intimate with every dude in her fellowship as soon as she meets them. Can't we have some relationship building first, puhleeeasseee?

⤐ What’s happening.
‘There is light in the darkest of hearts, as there is dark in the purest of souls. Not everything is as it seems.’

Except in my heart while reading this: fog everywhere, I'm telling ya. Long story short: Ciera loves her sister and thus has to enter hell to safe her from Lucifer. She's accompanied by an angel, the three-headed dog/shapeshifter Cerberus and werewolf Pluto, all of whom she find's sexually attracting. Do as you wish with that information.

Love the accent!

It’s not often that you hear a narrator whose accent sounds genuine when playing a character that plus the book itself make for a great read

Strong female character, medium burn pace -fab!

Firstly, the narrator is brilliant ! Exactly how I would imagine Ciara's voice to be. She's tough- with a compassionate side and wow is she determined to protect her little sister. The guys are just what she needs... I love the way they initially underestimate Ciara, and I noticed that they each see something in her that they miss at first glance... I wonder what that will end up becoming.. do enjoy the way the journey through hell matches Dante's own. Only with more dry humour amd hormones all round I'll bet book 2, is fab too !!

Refusing Hell’s Call

This was an action packed and breathtaking start to the Infernal Descent series! In hard times, we all make stupid decisions and will do anything to protect those that we love. Ciera sold her soul to Lucifer, also known as Luke, but when it was time to collect she refused and asked for more time. He took her three year old sister Tris instead and now she must go through the Dark Woods and the rings of Hell to get her back. Ciera has her flaws- she’s naive, but also headstrong and she’s fiercely loyal to those she loves. I enjoyed the guys that she met and how they were all different from one another. Ceb, also known as Cerberus, guards the gates of Hell and is playful and flirty, Maro, an angel who is unsure if he is dark or light with a serious and mysterious personality, and Plutus, a naughty werewolf who guards one of the rings of Hell. All of the men have a connected past and I’m looking forward to seeing it unravel even more and the heat rising in their relationships with Ciera. I love the vivid world that Bea and Skye have created and how they managed to put their own spin on Dante’s Inferno to make it unique.
Hiral did a great job with this narration! She used distinct voices for each character and had a flawless flow between each one. Her voice was easy to listen to and she kept me hooked until the very end!
