Publisher's summary

My rules for survival: Never trust a demon or make a deal with one. But trapped in the demon realm, I have no choice but to break both rules if I want to escape.

What’s waiting for me on the other side? A bloodthirsty god who wants to kill me—did I mention it’s my mother? An unforgiving fae who doesn’t care that we’re related and wants me gone, at any cost. And I have a debt to repay to the city’s most notorious vampire, who I gave the finger to—literally—during our last encounter. But I’m sure all is forgiven. Right?

My life is hell.

So many emotions

I love that the story has definitely moved forward, but wow, when will Erin get a break? That ending had me pulling my hair and screaming. I need the next installment ASAP!!

thrilling continuation

To start, i received this Audio Book at no cost for the purpose of providing this Honest review.

The series is one of my top 2 from McKenzie Hunter. This particular book is well written and keeps you interested and wanting to turn the page. I found it to be exciting to get to the end but didnt expect the ending i got. (a good thing) i would definitly recommend the book and series for your next read..
The Narration, i really enjoy this narrator. From casual conversation to fight scene to the spicier scenes, her voice is darn near perfect for the character and the mood she is trying to set or portray. For the audio book, a great story is needed, but a narrator like Kristine Hvam is what you need if you want a great Audio Book..

dark amd twisty.

great story, great presentation. full of action and magic. a few heart throbby moments that i could have done without, but least they werent too distracting from the action and plot.

a must read for those that like vamps, shifters, elves, gods, and other supernaturals.

Oh. My. Gosh. That ending.... I have no words.

The problem, I've discovered, with reading so many books is that it is easy for a good or even great series to get lost in the shuffle as you are awaiting the next book to be released. When you are in the middle of a series and reading each book one after the other, you are invested and immersed in that world. Then, you leave that world and go off and invariably, get invested in another world. I have had that happen so many times and I try, I really do, to keep track of the series that I want to get back to, but it doesn't always happen.

It wasn't until someone liked a review that I wrote about the series and I went back to see it that I realized that I never finished the series and that there was a new book out. The problem was that it had been a long time since being in that particular world and it took me a fairly long time to remember the specifics - but that's a me problem. Little by little things began coming back and I started remembering who was who and what was going on. I even reread the ending of the prior book to understand exactly "how" Erin ended up being stranded in a hell dimension.

But....once I got started ......things got interesting right away and I immediately began to remember why I fell in love with this series. This series is full of rich characters and a very unique world. We have the normal Supes - Shifters, Vampires, Mages and then we have the not so normal....Elves, The Huntsman, Demigoddesses, and much more.

The other thing that brought me back is that this series is narrated by Khristine Hvam - who also narrates the Jane Yellowrock series - and she is a pretty fantastic narrator. It is EASY to slip right back into the world and just become immersed in the events that are happening.

I was just getting back to the whole Mephisto / Erin thing when..... what do you know? Things get blown up AGAIN!! (figuratively, not literally). This book ends with a MASSIVE cliffhanger that makes me grit my teeth because now it is back to the waiting game.

This time, I actually looked it up and there are going to be 7 books in this series. This is the 5th, the 6th comes out in November 2022 (it is now August 2022) and then I have no idea about the series finale.

All I can say now is that I HATE waiting...but as a reader...what else is new? This time though, I'm going to put a reminder in my calendar for November.

Love this series

This is the fifth book in the raven cursed series. It continues to build on the characters and storyline from the first book and includes hybrid magic as the story unfolds around a young hybridWith God like and Alvin Powers. The romance is dealt with in palatable bites. The paranormal characters are each worthy of the attention they get in the story. And as a Listener with impaired eyesight, the narration by Christine HvamIs perfect.
