great listen

High frustration and angst with lack of communication had me seeing red. WTH????
Rash actions are a catalyst to resolution with communication. I loved these men and their story. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing it to life.

Surprisingly good

At first I wasn't sure I was going to make it through to the end but then it grew on me and the story ended up being pretty good and sweet. York does ok with the narration there were some pronunciations that drove me a little nuts but overall not a bad listen.

Nolan and Hugo

4.5 stars! Nolan and Hugo have a lot of history. Most of it working together. I liked that Nolan was so verbal about what he wanted in a relationship. He was also willing to compromise and see his own shortcomings. He also frustrated me by running away instead of facing problems. Hugo came across as rude, high handed, arrogant and demanding. When things didn't smoothly happen he either became highly dictatorial or shutdown. Both of these guys had a lot of changing to do. Learning to listen and compromise was their biggest problem. When Hugo finally openly declares his feelings I cheered. I only wish the author would've included a bit of them with their baby.

Audiobook: The narrator has clear diction but I laughed at his frequent mispronunciation. It's obvious that the editing team for this audiobook didn't do their job.

Good story, odd narration

I like the story but the narration threw me off. I would be into the story then he would pronounce something totally different from how I’ve heard it before.

CONFESSIONS CAN LEAD TO UNDERSTANDING LOVE

I received this book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review

Hugo and Nolan work together until Nolan decides that he’s going to fulfill his dreams. He quits and goes back to his hometown. Hugo is furious and trying to save his inheritance. His plan has me laughing when he finds out that his fiancé to be is no other than Nolan. There is a problem with keeping the inheritance and the authors make this story one of heart-wrenching love. The two get their acts together in a most beneficial way as they find themselves.

The narration is okay. There are inflections for the different characters, but something is missing in the reading that will keep the listener focused on the story.

enjoyed it

Would I listen to it again: yes
Did the story keep me engaged: yes
Was I invested in the characters: yes

Story comment: good pace, interesting characters and an entertaining story.

Narrator comment: John York has done a reasonable job with the narration, good inflections and intonations work to bring the characters to life, there was just 'something' missing for me to become completely immersed in the story. That being said, I'd still listen to it again.

Wasn't able to finish

I listen to audio books to be entertained and unfortunately this did not make the cut. The narrator basically read the book to me instead of pulling me with his narrative. The narrator has a lovely voice but needs to work on his presentation
