bad narrator

I love these stories, awesome series! but for whatever reason in this I can hear every sound the narrator makes. he's smacking his lips or something. every swallow I can hear. it's annoying and distracting. if I didn't want to hear the story so bad I would have shut it off

One of Krueger's Best!

The storyline was great and the book kept you hangibg on until the very end. We usually listen to books while driving, but we wanted to know the ending so badly, we sat in our car in front of our house for 10 minutes at the end.

LOVED IT!! The love O'Connor has for his wife is the kind of love everyone strives for. William Kent Krueger captured that love with his character. A great story.

Big fan of Krueger

This is my third novel by Krueger, and it won't be my last. He's a fantastic story teller. I highly recommend!

The Series Keeps Getting Better

After reading a couple of reviews I almost passed on this book. After listening to it I'm glad I ignored those and shame on people and their "spoiler" reviews too!!

Without giving away too much i'll just say that life goes on, even with changes!

The narrator!! This guy nails it!! After listening to so many of these books I almost feel like i know most of the characters and I attribute a lot of that to David Chandler's narration.

Good book, looking forward to the next, after a break with a couple of other books. I don't like to binge read (listen). It's almost like "saving" the next one if that makes sense.

What??? This can’t be…

Hard to believe the conclusion of this story — I always wonder how the author decided to let the story go this way…Very good nonetheless. Suspenseful

interesting story line.

Story was great, sad and emotional. however the authors description of my home state of Wyoming was very disappointing
beauty is in the eye of the beholder. had he ever visited us or so the beauty in tge open prairies or the majesty of our mountains.

Wonderful characters, plot, scenery and narration. Many unexpected twist and turns in the plot keeping the reader on the edge of knowing.
